If you have an instagram I have a story on my lifting frame that may be helpful. It's @trucksofthehamptons
If you like I can probably dig up the drawings I made for it as well.
I have the same thing (but not quite as much volume). I'm assuming its the grease separating some as it sits but I'd like to know if others have any different theories.
That's exactly right. The more you ask for the higher the premium. I would imagine there is also a cap on what they will agree to. If you try to insure a Chevy S-10 for 100k they will I'm sure decline.
I've got mine insured with Haggerty. I've never had to make a claim (knocks keyboard) so can't give an opinion on that front but otherwise they've been fine. Prices were very competitive (agreed value policy).
I believe the seatbelt bolts are 7/16 because of DOT rules. I think its the only non metric fastener on whole truck. I've read M11 bolts will work too as they are very very close.
Apoliges Matt, I mixed up the years that have the chrome rings and the years that don't. The chrome ring is correct for my 78. You don't happen to have those by any chance?
I think this is correct. You may well get more money by parting it out but it will be A LOT of legwork. If it were me I'd try to sell it all together and take what I could get just to avoid the headache of 100 individual sales, shipping, emails, scammers, etc. But thats just me.
