I dropped Land Cruiser Shop an email about when they would have LS Swap pieces ready for sale. They told me that pieces are built and welded and ready for coating. Won't be long now to have the parts ready
After reading this material, well most of it, it seems there is about 3 parts markers that manufacture motor mounts - Advance Adapters, Marks, and builders who make adapters as a part of their swap work. I've use AA in past CJ builds but it has been quite a few years since I've had a project...
I'm starting my look to find me a 80 Series for an LS swap and have a question. Of the Series 80 lineage (91-97) which years would be the right ones for an LS swap, meaning least clutter in the engine bay. Thanks.
Thanks guys, I went ahead with CARFAX report since it might be the one. 4 reportable accidents and about 5 former owners. A/C won't work so I have good data to work the deal. The + is the vehicle was bought in Atlanta and stayed in the south its life.
I was wondering about the factory spot where you mount the mirror and rain sensor. Their factory spots have seem to have something the color of this background where the mirror was mounted and leaving the glue residue. I'm concerned about the process to remove the residue from windscreen...
Came back from appointment to find the rear mirror dangling by its cable, the adhesive had completely debonded from the windshield. I know how we prepped old mirrors that didn't have electronic circuits but this Lexus has both an electronic mirror and a rain sensor.
Can I fix this myself or...
Would like to have conversation about getting rid of KDSS and replacing front with stock sway bar setup. My 2004 has KDSS and it's doing funny things. I like simple things.
I've had many 4WD's in my life, a 78 chevy SWB, 76 Bronco, CJ5, and CJ7 and none of them had any sway/torsion bars installed in them - and I never had a problem with stability and rolling over. I didn't push the stability of the vehicle.
Quick answer - nope. Buy a complete system, don't buy some here some there. Do your due diligence before pulling the trigger. You can return it to stock later, but I don't know why.
Okay, so consider any portion of radiator as nil to the calculations of the size of the external one. Basically mount the largest one you can on the driver's side to cool the transmission fluid.
