Looking for a pair of rear 60 series springs. Stock, no lift.
Located near Reno, Nevada. Can travel to NorCal if needed. Prefer to pick up, shipping would likely kill the deal.
Thanks.
I would leave the valve size stock.
I have owned/built several supras over the years and it seems that oversize valves are best for carrying power way up the rev range. +1mm valves on the 2jz will actually slow spool, but will make more power up top. For a 1fz pulling around a fat 80 series I...
I don't think it does older TBI stuff. I know HP Tuners have really grown the number of vehicles they can tune, but I think the earliest GM stuff is Gen III LS motors.
Tuning was done with HP Tuners, which I already owned from my LS6 swap into my Rx7. I am running the stock tune though, with VATS and all the emissions crap turned off. There are plenty of online tuners that will flash your Pcm and do the same for around $150. I know I could work on the tune and...
I know how you feel Jpilot. Pinky had a 350 and was the first carburetor engine I have owned in 20 years. I messed with it trying to get it running right, rebuilt the carb but it was always hard to start and just cranky. It took a lot of learning but I now speak fuel injection fluently, so all...
Added a saginaw PS setup.
The 5.3 was reasonable $$$ wise. I did all the work as I have put a few LS engines in other vehicles.
$400 for a pullout, 200 ish for rings/bearings/seals to freshen it up. $150 ebay headers etc, probably no more than $1000 all up. I pulled a 350 out of it so the...
Well it has been a while.........
Pinky is 95% done!!! Ended up doing a frame off and dropping in a 5.3! After shipping the rig to my new house in Nevada, I finally got time to get out into the 40s natural environment. All worth it.
Message me please if you have one, price shipped/paypal to 77302.
I am rebuilding my wiper motor and found that the magnets in the motor are broken into pieces. Explains why it doesn't work... So I am looking for either a complete working assembly or preferably just the black motor housing...
I have several axles that need to go.
Front and rear complete from a 69. Wheels/tires included. $100 for both.
Front disc axle from a 78. Has perches welded on top for spring over but is not cut or turned. Disassembled but comes with brakes and axles. No hubs/third member. $100
Front disc...
Thanks, Poser. You got me looking in the right place, problem solved.
The early case had a 6x17 gear on the output shaft, and the 78 case I guess needed a 6x18. I took the drive assembly from the early case and the 6x17 worm gear and put them both on the '78 case. Works good now with no binding...
OK, while diagnosing my faulty speedo on my 78 FJ40, I found out the cable was not being turned at all. I pulled the parking brake off and discovered that the worm gear that slides over the output shaft and drives the cable was not even in the transfer case.... So I have a spare case, but it's a...
If you look at one of the first photos in this thread, you can see the mess of a fuel tank/rear floor that pinky had. Basically a previous owner had mounted a 12 gallon plastic boat fuel tank under the rear. To access it they cut a 20 inch square out of the tub floor and hinged a used road sign...
