I know this is an old thread, but did you figure out where that needle bearing went? I have the same issue. My brother in law was visiting, he wanted to work on my cruiser, and I had the gear box pulled, so he decided to disassemble it. But then he left, and now that I have time to put it back...
Thanks for the note. I think a lot of factors play into it... I was referring to Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 in Washington, and 4th of July Pass on I-90 in Idaho. Big wide highways. I don't think they get steeper than 4-5% at the most, so you're hitting them at speed, and it will maintain that...
Can't afford the cruiser you want? Or want to teach the kids how to drive a stick shift? Or just want the cleanest true 4runnner on the planet? For sale is an immaculate 1995 Toyota 4Runner SR5. Runs, drives, and looks like new both inside and out. 212,000 miles. Always garaged. One owner...
I'm game. I'm in CdA. That would be a great time! I've been wanting to do a quick run up the Fernan Saddle then up to Kelly Mountain, then down Blue Creek to Wolf Lodge. Depending on how many rigs would go, it would probably be a 2-3 hour run from CdA and back. Would most likely encounter some...
Things are moving so slow!!! Too many other projects. I cleaned up the brackets to mount the radiator (wire wheeled, and POR-15), as with all the hardware, I wire wheeled and sprayed with anti-corrosion clear coat, got all the vacuum lines routed for the desmog and the radiator installed...
I'd steer clear of Lseats. in 2-1/2 years, my wifes ripped in the center. She's tiny and very delicate when she gets in an out, and they didn't hold up at all. I posted a pic when they started to wear about 6 months ago. Now they are ripped through. You get what you pay for. They are very cheap...
It's been quite awhile since I've posted... Life is busy. I have made a little progress. Getting much closer to turning the key! Got it desmogged, all the appropriate vacuum lines routed. Just been assembling and continuously cleaning.
I didn't see any comments on it failing either. Just curious. I hope I don't regret my decision down the road, considering I already had the head off...
Really old thread, but what did you all do with the PCV valve plumbing? I've removed my entire EGR and installed the EGR block off plate from Man-A-Fre with the PCV connection. Did you just get a new hose and route it from the PCV over or behind the head and connect it there? Does it need to be...
