    Thanks for all the replies. I drive it two hours to lone star jamboree this weekend and didn't have any over heating issues but bow I can hear that its leaking into the exhaust manifold so I'm forming a list and calling a shop this week for a quote on the work.

    I'm gonna order the timing chain and gasket kit and hopefully get it knocked out during my vacation this month. The leak is very SLOW. Hasn't really gotten dirty since I cleaned it up so it should last until then. Thanks for everyone's help.

    OK that makes more sense. So best bet would be secondary gauge pods for temp, tach, etc.

    Darkmachina, I've been checking it daily since I added coolant. And honestly I neglected it after changing the thermostat so you're probly right. But the level seems to be staying normal since I added coolant. I also burp the hose daily to make sure there's no air inside.

    Thanks klf! I wasn't able to clean it up today so probly in a few days I'll be able to take a look. If it is the seal I'll be sure to check out the groove and see if that's what's causing it. Thanks so much for the help.
