I don’t remember the specs on my wheels but I did not use spacers. I had slight rubbing and tight clearance on the caliper but I grind it a little to make it fit. I did end up buying spacers but have not intalled yet.

3L are decent engine but a bit slow. The came in a variety of Toyota including Hilux, LJ7x, Hiace, etc. They are quite reliable if taken care of. I have one in my LJ72 mated to a 4 speed manual tranny that I recently added a turbo from a 2L-TE, which makes a huge difference in performance.
I like this and minimal piping work but still concerned about core thickness for fitment on top like that. I don’t have a body lift and not sure if it’s necessary.
Is there any more info on this particular one available?
On a second thought, it just occurred to me I may not have the option to do the same water to air intercooler setup as you guys even if I wanted to. I just realized that yours cars are all RHD hint it has the space but because mine is LHD and the brake booster will get in the way... I guess it...
The 5L is already more powerful than the 3L in stock form. Adding the turbo components from the 2LT would make it really nice with all the cooling mods upgrades available on these threads. I would jump on the 5L even if you don’t turbo it because if it’s like the 3L, it’s pretty solid engine.
I have also done a CT20 turbo conversion on my 3L LJ72. From reading here, I am planning a 3" exhaust upgrade, a bigger fan and fan clutch oil and temperature mod as discussed by folks on the forum. I also plan on doing an intercooler but already was planning on a top mounted air unit from a...
Is this fan upgrade a go for the 3L engine as well? I am assuming the 2L and 3L fan are the same 7 blades from the factory. Anyone came with the correct part number for the 17.5 fan blades. I am still seeing the cheap one on eBay and just want to confirm. Malteser also has a 3L, hoping he...
