I love videos like this. Also a Raptor is involved and it’s no slouch.
300 did well - better than the 200. Still, not super impressive IMO.
Land Rover, G-Wagon, Defender all have the best traction aids, IMO. Triple-locked G-Wagon really makes a case for itself!
The suspension improvements are interesting.
I hope the LX600 gets the front and rear lockers, at least as an option.
I will buy one, and probably have it on 35’s before too long lol. 😂
Its going to be even more badass than the 200.
So I used to own a 2015 Land Cruiser 200 Series. Bought it new, dropped it off at Slee Offroad here in Golden, CO and wrote them a $20k check to build it for me.
Many iterations of that build later, I still wasn't totally happy with the vehicle. Too many shortcomings for me. Short fuel...
Land Cruiser + Prado + naming cars after Star Wars characters = Lando.
My Porsche Cayman 718 GTS is Han because he’s “so-low” and chalk is the color of the millennium falcon.
My Model 3 Tesla is black and a bit sinister, so Kylo -and also because he basically killed Han by being so fast and...
There are a lot of 300 Series LC threads, but I didn't see any where the 200 series enthusiasts have compiled a list of what we would like to see on the next generation of the Land Cruiser.
I'm happy to periodically update this first post with our numerical list of requests for Toyota. I will...
First - I'm not sure if it's ok to post this here - moderator(s) please move as appropriate!
My circumstances have changed (I bought some land, will be focusing more on that, buying a tractor, etc.) and I am reluctantly starting the process of selling my baby, my 2015 Land Cruiser.
I will be...
I'm considering selling my 2015 Land Cruiser. It's not an easy decision, but other than LCDC every year, the truck mostly just sits. I'm hoping some of the experts on this forum can give me a sense of what the truck might be worth on the open market. So here's the breakdown.
2015 Land...
I wanted to get this thread up before I forget a lot of what the Toyota rep, Dave, told us last night at dinner.
First, I'll do my best to recap his credibility. This guy was involved with product development of the 200 Series Land Cruiser about 10 years ago. He worked with the Toyota...
So my 200 is a great family adventure rig. But sometimes you need a truck. For me, sometimes I need a vehicle that's got the bed, can hold my family and still tow. Towing with the LC is an exercise in inefficiency and a great way to see all the gas stations along your route.
I previously...
Just thought some would like to know what a steady diet of ARB does to the ol' waistline.
Looks like stock curb weight is 5,815 lbs, so I'm about 800-900 lbs over that with everything added.
More details on the 6,680 weigh-in this morning:
-I was not in the vehicle - vehicle was mostly empty...
I noticed in the "what's your other vehicle" thread, that a lot of 200 series owners are mountain bikers.
How many of you are coming out to Breckenridge this summer?
If you were not planning on coming to the 200 series event in Breckenridge this summer, you now have another reason to make the...
I've been intrigued by the Ford Raptor since it was rolled out a few years back. Now, the 2017 looks even more badass. I want one!
This is, of course, putting on blinders to the fact that the 3.5 ecoboost that may not be the most reliable powerplant of all time, there's a new 10 speed...
I was going to take off all my wheels today and re-plasti-dip them.
Wife says "just buy new ones!"
Me: "whaaaaaa??? Ok!"
So if anyone has recommendations on wheels that look good, will work with my existing spidertraxx spacers and current tires (285/65/18) I'm all ears!
Prefer a mostly...
Honestly, I'm shocked. They seem to actually GET this truck. Looks like a follow-up article will be forthcoming, outlining some wheeling in Moab and in Colorado:
2016 Toyota Land Cruiser First Test Review - Motor Trend
I can send you pictures if you would like, but I have my stock suspension (front and rear shocks and springs) and stock running boards. Changed out at about 2400 miles, so basically brand new.
Make me an offer, I'm just looking to offset the cost of my very expensive build!
I'm thinking a $200...
I searched and could not find anything significant from 200 owners who wheel: before ARB locker was installed and then after.
This week I'll have my rear ARB locker installed at Slee (along with a number of other items), but Im hoping some can chime in on their experience.
Does ATRAC work...
