So clean!
I've got the same scanstrut and wanted to route the wires through the vent itself. But the gap between the plastic cover and the sheet metal is very small.
I see you opted for sandwiching with the sheet metal, which looks very sturdy!
One question: did you use self taping screws to...
It appears that fixed the problem! :) Just started it up and after smoking out the neighbourhood from the petrol which was still in the cilinder/cat/exhaust, I took it for a test drive. All looks good and it runs smooth.
Thanks for all the input!
Found the problem!
I managed to trap a wire from the LPG system between the valve cover and block. It’s the wire which piggy backs from the injector wire #1 and goes to the LPG ECU.
Trapping it underneath the valve cover made a pretty solid ground point…
Fixed the wire and cleaned up the...
Finally had time to dive in to the problem. Unfortunately haven't been able to fix the problem for now. Things I've checked/done:
- First removed the plug at the ECU behind the glovebox. All the wires are intact in that area. Measured the injector-signal wires for a ground short. Found that the...
I checked the #1 wire with a timing light and it is sparking. Haven't checked the plug yet. But the truck also runs on LPG and then it runs fine. So I don't suspect the spark plugs. But I will be checking all the wire with the light just in case.
Hi guys!
I've changed my spark plugs, spark plug seals, cap, wires and valve cover gasket yesterday. Engine (1FZ-FE) ran better than ever. But today I got a p0301 code (misfire cilinder 1).
Upon further inspection I found fuel leaking from the exhaust gasket at the catalytic converter and fuel...
I have this exact same problem. Both my LH windows are not working anymore, RH works without a problem. Would it be wise so reconnect the "bridge"? Or is it some kind of safety feature and im a better off with a replacement switch?
As far as I know: coming from Europe before 2001, it's probably an OBD1 truck. Therefore you read the codes with de paperclip-method via the diagnostics port, as stated in the link posted by Retrofive. (with OBD1 trucks you read all the codes with this method, on the OBD2 trucks used to reset...
I believe they're just stuck on with double sided tape. But they do help a lot against door dings. My LC came without and my doors aren't as pretty anymore due to people parking next to me in a parking garage...
Got a CDL switch, but not de Pin-7 mod.
Last week I was going downhill on a paved mountain road with a 35%-40% slope, with a lot of tight turns. That was the first time I wanted to put the transfer case in low without CDL, to save my brakes a little.
