@Ayune great reply--thank you! It is a 98 LC (like yours, but just 205k miles), and the "sunglasses holder" must be a garage door opener holder since it has that rectangular cover in the middle. Should I use a butter knife to pop it open the lid, working the edge toward the rear of the truck...
My overhead console is not properly secured to the top of my rig (see photos). Seems like the clips nearest the windshield are likely broken--if I push it flush, the console will flop back down immediately. The sunglasses compartment also seems to be stuck closed. (could be the PO damaged the...
What was your cost out the door for those skid plates? Let us know how the installation goes... my last remaining splash guard fell off a few weeks ago and want to address before winter comes. The Dissent kit looks amazing but is a bit out of reach at the moment.
Seems like a killer deal. Do you know if the lock/unlock feature would work if you no longer have functional buttons on your master key (if, for example, you put your key through the wash, like I did...)?
Oh man, that E30 is sweet... I know I'd never forgive myself if I let go of the E36... mine is actually Avus over black, which took a while to track down and would be hard to find again.
Are you f'n kidding me???
And it's obviously a 95 as well (only year for Avus and the DSI wheels).
That's crazy, man... I can see why you were freaking out!
@Gnarwgn I used Lamin-X on my M3 foglights because they are so low to the ground and tend to get blasted by road debris. I did not think to put a protective film on the LC foglights, though in retrospect it would have been a good idea... I might just do it, now that you mention it.
Will these skids be offered for purchase separately at some point? My OEM "splash shield" just tore off and I'd like to replace with something more stout.
@Gnarwgn I did fix it. I had to drill out the offending bolt. It was a PITA but glad to have done it. Having crystal clear foglight lenses makes a nice difference! I bought from eBay seller ranma21 who I think is also a member here on MUD.
The lens of my 3rd brake light is cracked. OEM replacement part lists for $240. Ugh... I see a bunch of aftermarket versions available from China on eBay for around $50. Does anyone have experience with fitment and quality of these knock offs?
@trdcorolla thanks for the pics! The 10 degree angle looks pretty optimal for being a step and maintaining clearance. Now that you have them installed, would you have ordered it any differently?
Thanks guys. I doused it with PB blaster, waited a day, then tried using vice grips and wrench. Still wouldn't budge, and in fact the vice grips began to deform the bolt. Guess I'll take a dremel to that nut this weekend.
Seems like this should be a  job, but I'm stuck. I'm trying to replace my hazy and gross fog light assemblies with a new set of Depos. The existing housing appears to be attached by a nut. When a try to wrench it off, the nut and bolt turn together. Am I missing something here...
I have recently experienced similar issue as the OP is reporting. The shuddering/rough idle typically happens when I'm stopped in traffic within the first few minutes of driving. It is intermittent.... 197k miles on my rig.
