    Spotted...

Dropped my wife off at Crate n Barrel in King of Prussia on Saturday afternoon. It was too nice to be inside so I dropped the tailgate on my 100 and relaxed in the sun for a while. What she didn't know was I was actually waiting for the person who owned the beautiful black 200 Series I...

    What are you working on?

Using the current circumstances to finally dig into my "new" 1978 vintage 8274. Bought it from the original owner out in western PA. He used it on an old Scout. He sold the Scout a long time ago and kept the winch in the garage. Winch works great but I have a little freshening work to do...

Thanks Gary! Encouragement from experience is what I needed to get over the hump. I was afraid of being too aggressive with the mallet but after your guidance I was able to "massage" them just enough to achieve a snug fit. Sometimes it's the little things that make the difference! Some...

Nice wheels on that rig! I'm running gray steelies. Have some nice shiny hubcaps to go with them but can't get the darn things on! :bang:

    Keyless in Downingtown

The day after I gave Del the code taken from the passenger side lock cylinder, they had several blanks waiting for me. The service manager cut one key from the code I gave him over the phone. We decided I would try that key to make sure it worked before he cut any more. The key worked so I...

    Keyless in Downingtown

Hi Matt, Wow! Really wish I'd known before I talked to the Toyota dealer this morning! (Nothing against them) You're really set up! And yes, I'm in Downingtown/Chester Springs area, about 45 mins east of Lancaster. If I was in urgent need I would definitely get them from you (as well) but I...

    Keyless in Downingtown

Progress Report: After removing the passenger side lock cylinder I cleaned it up and found a 5 digit stamping. 1 letter followed by 4 numbers. I gave this code to the Del Toyota parts desk and after looking it up in his book, he confirmed it to be a good code. Says he will have 3 (yes 3!)...

    Keyless in Downingtown

Hey Andy, the one on the left. I just ran out to the garage to see how difficult it is to access the lock. Awfully nice plastic seal behind the door panel. I guess I'll try to peel that back carefully to see if I can get eyes on the lock itself.

    Keyless in Downingtown

Thanks Andy, taking your suggestion, I just got off the phone with Del Toyota in Thorndale. VIN won't work but as CAZ pointed out, the passenger side lock code seems to hold the "key". I'll try removing that this evening. Del says they can probably source the blanks once I give them the code...

    Keyless in Downingtown

Some may think "Let's Laugh" is more appropriate but it looks as though I have lost my only key to my 1980 FJ40. The truck is in the garage and unlocked so I have that going for me. The 1980 has a steering column ignition without steering lock. The key also fits the doors & fuel door...

Very cool! I've been looking at those for years. Being a Trail 90 guy, I just can't get over the limited utility since it's not street legal. Crazy expensive for what you get BUT, it's still do darned cool!:bounce:
