I'm going again this year in the LX450 along with the whole gang; My brother in a 4Runner, other brother in a Taco and Pops in a 88 truck. Can't wait !!!!
Yeah, I installed the gears myself. It wasn't to hard, but you must have a press for the bearings. Reinstalling the gears is the hardest part just because they are a little heavy. 3:11 were great on Runithon. I ran Little Sluice with no problems.
Has anyone found Toyota replacement flange studs for the front flange on the rear driveshaft of the 80? I have searched around and haven't found them. The only part numbers I can find are for the bolts and nuts on the axle side flange and a part number 36209a for the front flange assembly but...
I think I'll go that route. I just picked up the Trail Gear transfer case reduction gears for $274 at my local 4wheel parts store. Getting her ready for Rubithon 2016!!!
Looking for a machine shop near San Diego that has experience machining the double snap ring groove for hub part time kit install. Has anyone used a local shop?
Prob need to replace your trucks piezo. About $5 at radio shack. I think it's on drivers side engine compartment fender on 80s. Should be able to search a write-up on this.
I think aluminum is fine the front sway bar as well. I have been running the same aluminum blocks on my front sway bar for a year now without a problem. I think all the front sway bar spacers sold online are just solid aluminum with company logos engraved on them.
