Where are you located? I have most of a set I'm looking to sell ($500), but don't have the 2 over-the-door pieces. I'm in CA, shipping the OEMs could be costly, since the bows are all one piece. Not sure exactly what year they came off of, either. I ended up buying a complete set of Ehsan's...
Somewhere on here a couple of years ago was a thread on how to manufacture them from a set of comparable hard top pieces. I have the hard top pieces if you find the thread and want to tackle the project. (I didn't!)
Two-Holer
What a great thread!
We've had a two-holer in the same spot at our hunt camp for the last 20 years. Dug it deep with a backhoe initially, and have been good with the quicklime ever since. Have dug it out once in those 20 years, and it was just composted material. Well...we did...
It's 12 inches high, 5 1/2 wide x 6 1/2 deep and weighs 17 pounds by my bathroom scale. If I can get down to the P.O. in the next day or two I'll check on a box.
Free...come and get 'em, I don't think shipping is viable.
Passenger Side Tire Carrier-hinges are rusted closed, latch is bent
Radiator Frame - from a '74
OEM Tow Hitch - no ball
I'm in Santa Cruz, California. PM me if interested.
If you buy the Tacoma, get the factory tow package. Well worth the extra $. You get the tranny cooler, oil cooler, larger alternator, and 7 pin wiring.
I pull a Fleetwood Evolution E-1 Tent Trailer, about 3300 lbs wet with my '09 DC TRD Off-Road, and I don't even know it's there.
Huh...judging from some prices I've seen today, not very likely I'd get $11,000, is it? That blue '77 in Montana looks real good for $8900.
I'll benchmark it at $10,000, but will keep it if I can't get that or do a swap for the trailer.
I have a VERY clean, rust-free 77 FJ40 I'd swap, under the right conditions, for a newer Coleman (Fleetwood) Evolution E-1 tent trailer. FJ40 has 73,500 miles (I believe to be original), is original except for seat covers, wheels and Tuffy console, and just passed California smog with flying...
I'll pass this along to a buddy who's made sounds about wanting an FJ Cruiser.
Mileage seems high for an '07...how was it used?
Also saw an FJ40 for sale in her photo albums. That still for sale, or just an old photo?
Just got this info from the Tacoma World forum. Haven't tried it yet, though. Supposedly works from '08 up.
1) Turn the Car 'ON', but do not start the engine (Leave your foot off the brake). Cycle your trip reset knob until it reads ODO. Turn the ignition back off. Wait a couple of seconds...
Will do.
Just talked to another service department at my local dealer, not where I bought the truck. They're sympathetic, but basically told me there's no way any dealer will do this disconnect. It's a liability issue for them. I grudgingly understand that, but it still frosts me that we've...
