Gang, went to this open house today, southeast side of Charlotte. There was a good mix of Toyotas, rovers, broncos, Jeeps. Adam and Jason are the owners, good people and both former Toyota and rover techs that opened performance rovers about 15 years ago. They have a lot of gear on display...
Today on whim I decided to go down to this area, looked like a bunch of dirt roads and I needed some solo driving time. It is about 50 miles south of Charlotte, and has over 40K acres of pine forest and sand/gravel roads all over it. I drove about 40 miles of dirt and saw just a little bit...
I have clutch fork for an FJ60. Got it from CruiserParts and it was listed as a 1985-1990, it didn’t fit my fj43 so selling it. $50 OBO, will ship at cost.
I have a left side spring plate for an fj40, purchased by mistake from Cruiser Outfitters for my FJ43 but it does not fit the 43, too small. $50 OBO, will ship at your cost.
I have one original fj40 valve cover gasket and four of the top grommet for the valve cover. Part numbers in the photos. In Charlotte NC and can ship. $40 for all
I have been thinking about how to get something better than my bluetooth headset for sound when driving, something that works well for directions, audiobook, or music. Since Amazon was having a sale, on a whim, I decided to try this bluetooth speaker and try to fit it in the radio slot. I...
So weird thing happened today. Old slave cylinder was leaking a good bit, got a new Aisin and the rod was too short, so using original rod that came with my ‘81 43. Bled the system by gravity, bleeding nipple on the top. But pedal needs 2 pumps to fully actuate. Had some help to pressure...
Have looked for a while but didnt find anything on this: what does each port on the water pump do, suction or pressure (in or out) of the pump? Looked for diagrams, FSM, etc but nothing on the 2F. The pump I have has the lower oil cooler port, which in my case is connected to the intake side...
Quick intro, name is Izzy and I just got an FJ43 a couple weeks ago. Have been scouring this forum for information both before and after the purchase as I am not as familiar with FJ40s. Anyway, here it is...
Was able to register it in NC with no problems. Bought it from Gateway Classics in...
So, yeah...Izzy got an FJ43, Tony Montana special edition. From the top, I have been looking for an old truck, rover or cruiser. I reached out to 3, a '62 Series 2a in Charlotte, and two early '70s Series 3 in VA, and a couple of yotas as well. I even had a good friend, Rover expert mechanic...
Read a few older similar posts, but not sure what the final outcome of each was. Bought a relic, 40 year old vehicle from the republic of Florida. Every site I read has differ answers as to what is needed for title and registration . The antique car law has changed and there might be a...
Back story, this is in northern British Columbia, up near Prince George. The trail goes all the way to the Pacific, which was the intent from the Mackenzie expedition, and it is now a pretty awesome trail(s) to do mechanized, or horse, or walk. Pretty intense trails as the blowdown (trees...
Don't know if anyone has used this before, didn't see anything in a search so here we go. Last year was getting my truck ready for a long (4K mile) trip into the desert. I have a front oil leak that was determined to be the time chain cover (confirmed more than once) and would cost $1.5-$2K to...

Having a p0402 for a few years that was getting progressively worse, I decided to dive and and do a few things. Checked EGR and modulator, modulator was not consistent so replaced that. Cleaned out in between the two hoses from EGR to intake, intake to VSV and that is carbon free, plenty of...
The overland was awesome this year in Bernie's country. And everything was free free free. All the gas was free too.
Anyway, some key pictures:
The Red Headed Stepchild HISSELF!
Looking for advise on changing both engine mount and transmission mount. I can hear the clunk and can visually see the motor is moving a lot more than it used when going from P or N to gear. Also spending the day at Brown Mountain didn't make it better.
Anyway, any tips welcome, hoping to do...

Can anyone tell me where it is? Looked through the FSM and can’t find a diagram for location. Last weekend I replaced all coolant hoses and clamps with Toyota, so probably knocked something off? The needle is dead in the dashboard, otherwise all seems fine. Thanks!
