    FJ62 Wont Start

    Yes. A fried wire leading to the ECU. Also had to replace the alternator and the ECU. Expensive fix. Not sure why the fusible link didn't melt. Also learned there are 3 different types of ECU so anyone reading should check your part number and make sure you're buying the correct one.

    I just pulled a spark plug and tested it against a ground to see if I have spark - nope. I pulled my coil which looks pretty old and rusty in some spots. I'm headed to Napa for a new one. We'll see what happens after I put that in.

    Ok. Test done. Multimeter set at 200 on resistance. Battery disconnected. Neg battery cable to alt housing = .8. Positive cable to pos on alternator = .7.

    Of course not. Lol. That would make way too much sense! I don't have an ohm meter. Guess I'm going to have to go buy one tomorrow. Do you just test each side of the fusible link? Or go back farther in the wire somewhere?

    Yep. I'm an idiot. i sprayed off my engine and must have gotten the alternator wet. It pegged on the ride home (about a 5 minute drive from the car wash). Once I pulled in to the driveway, I immediately shut off the 62. I let it sit for 30 minutes and then fired it up again. Wont start. It...
