    FiTech/Sniper Distributor ???

Did you install the hyperspark ignition and coil also? Which model. When I did my Camaro it was easy to install sniper, distributor, ignition and coil. Everything you need is spec’s out and available. I used Chris at EFI.

    FiTech/Sniper Distributor ???

Any update? I’m about out of troubleshooting and it’s down to ignition. Good vacuum but it bogs down when you stomp on it. Vacuum good to the distributor and steady at idle. Rather not spend time fixing this one if I’m going to end up with a hyperspark or DUI.

    FiTech/Sniper Distributor ???

I think you need to just sell me that hyperspark and buy another one. I’d love to have that setup but I don’t think I should be playing with the tools it took to make it right. So you’re not doing hyperspark ignition or coil? Mine is idling high, like 1400, and it’s not coming up to temp to...

    FiTech/Sniper Distributor ???

That’s above my pay grade. Hopefully not long before someone sells the updated hyperspark. Put a hyperspark distributor, ignition and coil in my 72 Z28 and it is awesome. Wired it all up, turned the key, and started like a 2021 Camaro.

    Oil pump removal?

Removed it. It that fuel inlet was sitting right against the piece holding the oil filter. I spent so much time looking at that, and about 5 minutes just removing the darned thing. It sure looked connected and I was already asking myself why there would be a coolant fed oil cooler there.

    Oil pump removal?

this is the frustrating thing about jumping into a bastardized rig. The book is about worthless. So although it looks like it’s going to the cooler it is not? Going in later today to remove.

    Oil pump removal?

This may just look like it goes to the fuel pump. Hard to get a good pic in there

    Oil pump removal?

Doesn’t it appear to have a line going to the pump? Wasn’t expecting it to be there.

    Oil pump removal?

Currently doing a sniper conversion on a 76. Got to the point where I’m taking off the mechanical fuel pump and there appears to be an oil line going to the oil cooler right under the oil filter. I can’t find anything about it. Is it ok to plug the outlet coming out of the cooler? I’ve got the...

Starting down the Sniper 2300 path. Lessons being learned.

I had some setbacks this year and just got back on the project. Tank installed and plumbing complete, I think. All of the wiring is run with connectors made. I have run into an issue taking out the old mechanical fuel pump. Do you cap the oil line coming from the oil cooler? Lots of progress...

Anybody put Holley EFI on an F2 and regret it?

I underestimated the amount of “rigging” you’d have to do. Compared to a gen 2 Camaro where everything you need is made by Holley. i Would say the more original your FJ is the easier it will be.

I didn't see those, and I thought I looked. Will try again

Starting down the Sniper 2300 path. Lessons being learned.

I hadn’t gone to the Sniper forums. I’m a little upset about a parts list that says Earl’s hose and actually getting Gates. Is this any issue, except another reason why not to buy the master kit? It looks like it will be running from the tank to the Sniper at least for now.

Starting down the Sniper 2300 path. Lessons being learned.

After lurking and learning here I decided to take the plunge. I would say I’m 4 hours in to the actual install and this is what I have already run into. 1. Don’t get the kit. It may be fine on some cars, but the FJ you’re going to need adapters, and getting the Holley kit only handles the easy...

    Holley Sniper returnless setup

Muscle car returnless From reading here my only concern is a 1 year warranty. Pump goes out and you’re out.

    My First Galley Plug Fix

This Is an oil passage. Not positive how it routes. When you pull out the head bolt as the OP suggests some oil comes out. The head bolt moves back and forth a bit. Plenty for oil to route through at pressure.

    Holley Sniper returnless setup

The muscle car version comes out the top and clips in with the standard ring. Pretty awesome since you don’t have to drill the tank. Doesn’t look like there is an option for our tanks. For my Camaro it’s going to be easy. Drop the tank, take off the old sender, put this in and run the wires...

    My First Galley Plug Fix

Parking it in front of the shop door. Now I’ve got to push it rather than start it when moving other cars around.

    FiTech/Sniper Distributor ???

Which hyper spark. I don’t see one listed on Holley site.

    My First Galley Plug Fix

Did mine today. Awesome instruction here. I’ve been looking for a reason to buy that right angle drill. Less that $100 with drill. I used tape to set the depth of 3/4”. I’ll be using the zip tie and cloth trick again. Brilliant. Got all done and putting away my torque wrench when I saw my...
