This is one of Bay Area Metal Fabs racks (BAMF). It's a little shorter than the normal version to keep tent mounted lower. Jerry does great work, I have some other odds and ends on my truck from him and couldn't be happier.
Testing relocated shocks:
New crossmember welded in along with frame reinforcement plates. Shock mounts are from trailgear. Had to use a little sleeve on the shock bolts to make them fit the shock eyes.
Dude I have wrenched so hard on my husky sets and nothing like that haha. The only one I jacked up was the one I welded by mistake with the battery... What you did there was impressive.
Ah, yeah, I hear ya. Definitely wanna clear that haha. Funny, I didn't notice the lack of sliders... That will be good to have. They have saved my bacon a few times over.
Trail gear? Or you going to go box rocket fab this time around?
Yeah, I like the stance better for sure. Coming along. Now time to move off the asphalt haha :)
Off topic but what camera do you have btw? I just ordered a D3100 w/ kit lense. Can't wait to get some cleaner photos. I already installed darktable alongside gimp, and worked with some sample RAW...
Sick, really coming along nicely. Wish I'd read about your plasti dip experience before touching up the taco grill with more spray paint... Hoping the rustoleum will at least be better than the crappy duplicolor from before. It's a mess anyways, need to get a new grill. And cut for winch better.
Figured I would add my build here and checkout what ih8mud is all about :)
Here is my truck as of now... Some big changes coming soon.
Here are just some pics I like...
