    Actually I'm using an analog multimeter but I'm not sure how this could be giving a false reading. Apparently I have two log in names.

    I had a similar problem. Turned out to be the wires were reversed at the connection just inside the engine compartment.

    Yeah, pretty much the plan. The transfer case was leaking pretty bad when I purchased it so I pull it with the tranny and replaced all the seals and gaskets. The bearings looked good so I left them. I also rebuilt the parking brake while i was there. I had to replace the fuel and oil pressure...
