2005-2008 are under rust recall. I can’t recall specifics but I remember something about sticking with 2011 and above.
The LX570 is obviously smaller and consequently more maneuverable but I find the Sequoia’s light steering much nicer.
Sequoia is part time 4wd vs full time on the LC200.
LC200 has a solid axle in the rear, the Sequoia is independent suspension all around.
And, I bet the LC200 has wider...
I vote for the 2nd gen. I wish I had got it sooner. Similar story - Family of 4 plus large dog and the all the gear that residents of my household want to drag around on a road trip. Of course, I want it to be a reliable overlander. I have seen “4x4” SUVs that have some 4wd capability but either...

Looking for any feedback on EBC brakes (rotors + pads kit) for 2nd gen Sequoia. I run EBC on my 80 and had them on my 100 with good performance. But curious if anyone’s swapped OE for EBC or any other brand? Few Amazon reviews suggest that EBC are considerably better than OE but I’d rather go by...
I think Land Cruisers are what draw off-roaders to the Toyota family. The 100-series had been on my “to own” list for a long time and finally got one ten years ago. Then I got an FJZ80. After a few off-road and overlanding trips and having owned other Toyotas (a 3rd gen 4runner and a ‘85 pickup)...
My buddy and wrench-man recommended this while I was looking for a faster setup to re-inflate. My job was to find a kit or parts so after looking at cost of a compressor, kit to adapt the compressor and brackets/pulleys that will need to be fabbed, I concluded that a good electric compressor...
I ended up ordering a new bottom from Mr T and CoverCraft canvas seat covers. The seat covers aren’t here yet, I will probably get them 2nd week of June.
I like the idea. I think 33” are plenty for most overlanding trips which is what I plan with this rig. I thought people were putting 33” on these with no lift?
Haha, thanks. Loving it so far, it is probably the most relaxed truck I’ve ever had. 😁 Well, to be fair my 100-series is a 2000 so I haven’t really been driving anything new other than my wife’s Tesla Model 3.
Tranny shift lever knob.
I ordered seat bottom for driver’s side from MegaZip and covers from Covercraft (carhartt canvas). Do I need to cover the seat bottom in leather or cloth before putting on the Carhartt covers?
Curious how they work out. My LX450’s leather is shredding now. I can either replace with new leather covers that’s going to cost me roughly $500-600 or I get something else to wrap around the leather. I want some cloth like material to keep cool on trails and also grab my butt from slipping.
