Watching this... We are planning a run from leadville, to Taylor Lake... Down to Ouray... But I am scared of planning much around the San Juan Forest. (Because of closures with the fire)
Are you altering plans because of this?
1990 Toyota FJ62. Factory 4 Speed Automatic.
So... Here is the question. Customer is stating he does not like this little bit of a tick/clunk noise when going into gear... Especially from reverse to drive. This is the only automatic we have seen in a 40/60 in years. None of can say...
Wrote an article and shared with Stan. Lets see if he can make it print worthy! Great trip
I was a general A-hole last week as I was missing FJ Summit 11(A trade-off I made for doing Cruise MOAB). All I had to do was think about this trip on Kokopelli to get over missing Summit.
Just got a text from a friend asking if we are bringing the crew from Illinois... Sure are. We hope to have a bigger crew than before. Goal is 8 trucks.
God man... That is a great story... Will you write mine next time? lol! Great looking truck. I forgot about the Highlander Package until it clicked in my head after a few seconds... I thought you had an actual Toyota Highlander. I was like "holy crap? Is he serious?".
Craftbeer nerd...
Oh boy... Lots of pressure here! We are doing Mojave Rd before this. Really want to bring something Midwestern, but I think we will relegated to stopping by the store ahead of the trail.
Forgive me if this sounds like a midwesterner in fear... I was told by some buddies that snakes are a concern when sleeping out in the desert. So... Sleeping in a bag... Will I have to worry about a bunk buddy slithering into my bag?
Question Stan... I will have two tents with me... One is a free standing (Does not need stakes) REI 2 man tent... The other is a slightly larger Cabelas tent... But it needs stakes. Will tent stakes work on Kokopelli?
