Lucas for classic cars has more than enough zddp. Relatively cheap and comes in the 10w-40 flavor. Most modern oils do not contain enough zddp because of catalytic converters. If your looking at diesel oils you want the old CJ standard not the newer CK oils.
I would only use GL4 in the transmission because of the yellow metal, GL5 you risk wear on those parts. I use redline in all my Toyota manual transmisions
I never did get a hit on it. In the end I found a good picture reference, using a grid transferred it to some sheet metal and fabricated some quarter panels.
Not the exact shape but darn close and a lot better then the cut out ones i had before.
Been installed for 5+ years. This is just as...
Because of the lack of viscosity info i would be hesitant to use it though it does specify its a gl4 oil, maybe if you found a product data sheet. I use Redline MT 90 in my transmission.
Have you taken a look at your cap and rotor, condition of plug wires? Toyota's can be sensative but usually NGK or Denso work well. I will see what we got on our 3.0 they seem to work fine.
Grab a quality carb rebuild kit and give it a shot. It is not as intimidating as you may think. The more you know about the carb and engine the better you can make it run.
