Never complained about the cost. It's the accessibility. And from where I'm at we have $4.20 91 octane vs the $3.90 for 89 octane. Not a deal breaker, and I only get 9-11mpg with this thing. I drive a Prius for my normal commuting.
graph is at 3500, but if you look online there are plenty of graphs. Some with custom tunes and some without.
This thing defiantly has 500+ HP. it's fun to get on and off off-ramps but outside of that I won't be using the full power.
I work for DENSO and have addressed this issue.
A dealer can reprogram a used FOB/CARD but it requires extra time as it requires resetting the ECU and you need to have all your keys to reprogram. You can only do this if you already have a key and the dealer is only able to do this as it...
Here are the major points:
1. You need a Unichip piggy back to make it run properly. The LC200 and LX570 run a different ecu compared to the Tundra (USDM vs JDM) so the piggy back is needed. (I have a spare i'm trying to sell)
2. You need to make some custom brackets to accommodate the heat...
First off MPG will not increase, but I used the same excuse to get this (self justification). The trip computer will tell you 17-20, but it's off by 30%+ because the larger injectors will be using a lower duty cycle, but using more fuel. I get a true 10-14mpg and worst case in the summer and...
i get 9mpg around town and 12mpg on the highway. The gauge will be off because the stock computer sees the duty cycle of the ECU and not the size increase on the injector. If i go off the computer it sees 17-19mpg, but i can only muster 220-240 a tank (19-20 gallons).
Needs to run a piggy back so it will be fine.
TRD and Magnuson is the same SC, but the TRD does say TRD on the cover of it.
Magnuson kit also has all the updates on the kit to allow it to fit the LC as the Tundra hood sits a tad higher (more clearance).
Both kits need customer fabrications...
Yes, but you need to run a piggy back ECU to run it. I have one in my 09.
also there are 2 versions of the supercharger. You need the one with the back of the supercharger with an angle ground out of it.
