I finally washed mine tonight. I still have tree marks on my RR flare and both Hanna quarter panel bars. But they are only scrapes.
You, on the other hand, had gouges! Sounds like you have them smoothed out. Is Ma Romer smoothed out yet? :)
I sure wish I had been able to run that...
Great write-up Tim. I started thinking I was actually there.
Oh, wait a minute.... :grinpimp:
I'd go back again next weekend!
Working on plans for CM10. Buck already has the green light. His wife and daughter will come, too.
Me, I'm waiting to find out if I will...
A big X2 on that.
It was great to see some old friends from previous runs (Thad and Marty) and make a bunch more new ones.
When we would have a breakdown or hit a rough spot on the trail, we'd all cringe a little. Then when we overcame and were rolling again we couldn't stop smiling...
The Houston crew (Buck, John H. and myself) are still trying to plan our assault.
I think we are leaning toward heading out of Houston at Noon Wednesday and driving until we no longer feel fit to continue, whenever that is. I doubt all three of us will be able to make 715 miles heading out...
Will most campers be at the park, down at Aker's Ferry, or ??? My wife and kids are sitting this one out, so I plan to bring the tent.
My Gazetteer shows quite a few campgrounds within 20 miles of the park.
Can anyone recommend this book? Is there another guide to Utah backroads that I should look at?
I was hoping to find something with more info than the Gazetteer provides.
