Should I consider a 100 Series for a Kid Hauler?

Newer vehicles, IMO, are less safe with the nanny aides they all come with. Sorry, but a car should NOT have the ability to give the steering wheel resistance if I want to change lanes without a signal. That s*** is ****ing terrifying and I can't believe it's the norm now. Additionally, drivers...

Should I consider a 100 Series for a Kid Hauler?

Well then, you're going to love a 100. Especially in OK, where the not-flattest thing anywhere are curbs. With a breeze, you might even think it's a hybrid.

Should I consider a 100 Series for a Kid Hauler?

Gas mileage is only a concern if you're used to driving something with good mileage. I've never owned anything that does better than 20MPG highway so the 100 really isn't that big a deal at 13ish. It's only money :meh: My wife jumps in my 100 about 95% of the time she's out doing errands...

    Anyone Running Dual Exhaust?

Remove the rear resonator, install high-flow cats and a performance muffler. It will sound very nice. I have video clips somewhere in my build thread, linked below. IMO the only benefit you'd get out of true dual exits would be for aesthetics, and since our bumpers don't have little holes for...

Is the TRD supercharger really that bad for the 4.7?

Those pistons look very pleased with themselves, like they just enjoyed a hot hearty soup in cold weather.

Upgrade from Tekonsha Voyager to P3 wiring advice

I could be very wrong, but I believe that since yours is a 2006, it should have factory wiring set up already for a brake controller. Earlier models needed wiring spliced, but you should be good to go by just plugging in the new unit to the socket the Tekonsha is currently plugged in to.

No Service Records = Red Flag?

I second this. All else the same, I'd take an ATRAC 4-pinion diff truck (especially with 5 speed) over a 2-pinion factory locked (rear only) truck. Yes, ATRAC will operate until locker is engaged. Since there's no signal of slippage between the two axles with the locker engaged, there's no...

No Service Records = Red Flag?

Imo, this is gold when used car shopping.

No Service Records = Red Flag?

Toyota and Lexus both allow you to register a vin and see its dealer performed service history. Short of that, I (and most good owners/ record keepers) keep receipts and docs, even a journal, of maintenance history.

2002 LX470 Black Onyx Build Thread (IG: @choyota)

Functionally speaking they'll be fine. Even a failed one will still turn your tires. If you're going to do much heavy trail riding, just be sure to bring a spare and the tools to replace. I learned this the hard way 😄

Hate the sticker under your driver's mirror, but those wheels look really, really good on the 100. Like a fancier Rock Warrior. Really cool build, looks like you're getting super acquainted with it. You're one of only a few people I've seen have to swap the engine. I'll second the hesitance...
