I bought my 2000 a year ago with 230k miles for $5,500, all stock.
It was a small time car dealer selling it for a buddy and it looked like it had sat for a while.
After looking it over, everything worked and there was some minor rust on the rear lift gate which I easily fixed and painted...
So...
I order the cup holder a while ago and I'm just now getting around to posting a video on it for people who like that kind of thing.
Again. This is a quality part. Looking forward to ordering some more.
I though that, but I like keeping all the OEM stuff when I make mods, so I can always revert back.
And there's a metal bracket that runs through the middle of it. It's part of the hinge.
We all know the cupholders on the 100 Series SUCK!
Mine even has the cup holder insert, which also SUCKS.
The main reason is that the cup holders aren't deep enough to really hold anything.
I wonder if crappy cup holders were just part of the Toyota design philosophy?

I have some old skateboards siting around and the concave matches the curvature of the console pretty well.
As I look forward to some legit ones made by @BenCC I'm going to keep DIYing away.

I'm modeling mine after the ones I have in my Ridgeline, which would give it a deeper "holder" to about 3".
I can put just about anything in those cup holders.
These will have an opening of about 3.5", I would had liked to make them bigger, but there wouldn't be enough material around...
