Got it sorted!
Just a heads up… if it binds up apparently to loosen the screw if it gets jammed the wheels have to be turned to either side. All seems to be well now :) It ain’t perfect, but it’s better than it originally was before I messed with it!
I had some free play in my steering wheel… I made an adjustment on the steering box…. That little flathead adjustment screw…. It worked and got rid of all the free play, but now my steering wheel is a bit tough to turn. It’s not as bad as not having power steering , but almost. I can’t back out...
First highway run with the front MRR’s and it was a success. I tweaked the low and high speed compression and I’m very happy. I’ll just have to adjust the rebound a bit.
I may have also ordered a set for the rear :)
I installed MRR’s on the front. I’m not sure how they would compare to the IMS’s or OME, but compared to the off the shelf Rancho’s that were on it they are night and day. I can’t wait to save up a few bucks and get a set for the rear now. I can definitely tell the difference with the bumps in...
Bolt on sliders were a success!! I used rollcage/chassis paint. We shall see how it holds up. It’s been damn cold here and it might take awhile to fully cure even with a heat gun and patience. I also put a strip of grip tape on them.
I had to remove the giant resonator to get them bolted up...
I wonder if they changed the designs of the legs. There’s a few of us running that exact setup without the gutter issues.
Sorry about all the issues with this :(
I really have no clue, but it looks pretty tall… taller than most lifted 73’s. I would say it’s probably a 3 inch lift or so instead of the usual 2 inch. Those shims and an adjustment of the toe after install was night and day.
I ended up ordering Dobinsons MRR for the front 😎 I figured with the extra weight of the front bumper, winch and now the rock sliders probably needed some extra and/or adjustable shocks.
I’ll have to wait a bit to order a set for the rear.
Right now it has Rancho all around and an unknown...
I picked up some VERY beefy bolt-on rock sliders today that I snagged from a member. I’ll need to remove the resonator and add a flex pipe before I can do a true test fit though. Just a couple projects on the back burner for now 😎
