Yeah, I thought the same thing, a Land Cruiser, right? I was "only" at 140K so it was really disappointing but she is all fixed up now (hopefully!) BTW, when the shifting symptoms and codes resurfaced in November, I cleared the codes which in the past would make the tranny shift as expected on...
@joyRidaz - well, it is a very long story but the short of it is that I had to replace the transmission. After the fluid adjustment mentioned in my last post, the symptoms subsided for the entire summer and fall, then in November the Check Engine, VSC, blinking 4-low lights came back on and the...
Anybody by chance know what part number(s) these bolt are (2009 LC)? They attach to the A/C fan plastic housing behind the radiator .
See pics. #1 is missing from driver side and #2 seems to be missing from the passenger side, but I am not sure if there is a bolt here in the first place...
Hello,
Hoping someone can help me. I noticed one of my bolts underneath the front bumper cover was missing and I am trying to replace it. But I can't seem to find the p/n. This is for my 2009 LC. There are two bolts, I pull the other one and took pictures. Thank you!
Hi, I did my first DIY oil change on my LC200 2009 this past weekend so wanted to post a question in this thread vs. starting a new one. Before I put the skid plate back on I wanted to post a pic of my (stock) filter cap and retaining clip post oil change... Does the retaining clip look correct...
Thanks for the info and updates. Sorry I have been delayed in following up, just waiting on the the results. @landbruiser200 super happy to hear that the valve body fixed it for you and glad you were able to get one. Here is my update... So after taking mine to the Lexus dealership I purchased...
Thanks for this info! Mine is parked for the time being while I put pressure on the Lexus dealership I purchased it from to make this right. There is low probability that will go anywhere but I am pursuing that while I get other opinions and asses other options. Please keep me updated on how...
I didn’t drive it much since the symptoms started (it is not a daily commuter) but I just took it out and yeah, it is not shifting past 3rd in hard acceleration and has high RPMs on highway driving with gradual acceleration.
Thanks for the TSB text. That is super helpful. I am skeptical of dealer service centers, and I noticed the "suspecting..." text too. Interesting about the fluid levels on the TSB... many on this thread had recommended that I baseline these. When I asked the dealership about doing this today, or...
Well, it didn't go well. Took her to the local Toyota dealership today who took all day to do a complete diagnostic and test drive... they are recommending new transmission, ECU, and torque converter ($10K)! @linuxgod was right on the DTCs. Apparently, there is a TSB that says to replace the...
I have an appointment with my local Toyota dealership tomorrow (Tuesday) to run a complete diagnostic as my Check VSC, Check Engine, and blinking 4 lo started again. I wanted to start with that before doing the fluid change (rear diff, the front diff, transfer case, and the transmission) in case...
Thanks for the tip on the Toyota owners site, more detail than the CARFAX for Toyota service, so helpful. Also, appreciate the insight on the larger tires. What is strange is that on the way to Utah from Cali, no high RPMs (or indicator lights), it was only after I was in 4 Lo for a few days on...
Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts. Thinking about buying a set of four official Toyota Repair Manuals for my 2009 Cruiser for basic DIY jobs.... old school printed books. It has been over 20 years since I have worked on vehicles such that I needed a repair manual, but they used to be...
Hello,
In April, after years (over a decade!) of thinking about it, I pulled the trigger and purchased a new to me Series 200 Land Cruiser. She is a 2009 with 136,000 when I picked her up from a local dealership. She was really clean and according to the CarFax report, she spent most her days in...
