Wow, I can't believe I haven't run across your build thread till now. You sure have taken her to a new level! I can't wait to see the end result!

Charles was an amazing person. He will be dearly missed. I haven't talked with him in some time, I was really surprised by the news. Very sad. He really was an amazingly giving person and a lot of fun to talk cruiser with.
Tuffmudder, just getting on mud and saw your post. Looks like she is going to go way further than I could take her. Awesome. Can't wait to see what you do with her.

Guys
Just decided to sell again. Was hoping to sell with it running but you can see from the add that won't be the case... unless I get some wild hair it needs some work.

What transmission does it have? Tranny is a 3 speed, wanted to keep the old style. Loved the way it drove, not to mention it was just rebuilt before i lost the straight 6.
What problems are you having with the engine? Not sure whats up. It was a runner when I pulled it but i can't keep it...
this rig is for sale again. Tried to get rekindle the love but the engine trouble i am having has pushed me to the edge. Want to sell before the snow flies so hit me with offer. THanks guys. Check out my listing below.

ok so i figured out what was up. Seems the cage that has the hole that allows the shifter shaft to move in the l motion doesn't allow me to pull it over far enough to get into high. Seems odd, maybe tweak the shaft to allow enough room to pull it over?
Anyway it isn't a huge deal, at least...
took her for a drive today actually. So thats a big deal. Lots of work over the months, having some issues with no high gear and trying to get that figured out but all in all she runs pretty good, a few small issues but think ill get that figured out soon.
Ok guys what did I do wrong...
Took the vacuum advance shifter out of my cruiser and put in the shifter linkage setup in but I am having a small issue
when I try and take off the thing will only move in 4 low, no 4 or 2 high. Did I miss the placement of the fork on the shifter, is that...
Cooper, not yet. I am just about done. Have to drop the fuel tank and get the fuel figured out and she should be able to run!!! woot.
I'll post pics and video when i get it cranking.
Ok, good and settled. Now back to getting my cruizer on the road. I have been looking at the wiring diagrams again and starting to think maybe a howell isn't so expensive after all.
Am I crazy for thinking about going that route? Is it far simpler than i am making it?
I'm flying down there to look for homes tomorrow until Tuesday... So if there is a better place for me to look then I'd love to know. If either of you know where a good rental is, let me know that too. Thanks guys
Hey nuc, where would you live given the choice? I don't mind drives and I'll have a company vehicle so really any location is open at the moment. Found a few nice places around the soutlands area. Bad news as of late but decent area it seems.
