Hope your hands are not too sore!! Love. Lot of body on a landcruiser. This part of the journey has slowed down your updates. Totally sure it shall come out good.
If I was a panel beater, I too would be constantly looking for apprentices.
Yes. I think panel beating is the most overall challenging aspect of car restoration if done right. Also arguably the most expensive at the same time under valued. Grinding, sanding, dust, spray paint, lots of nasty chemicals, thinners, fumes, masks, primers, builders, the fine carbon dust...
Is the fan shroud mod to have easier access to the cooling system and front of engine?
It would also help when changing engine mounts if need be, not that you would be doing that for awhile, everything being so shiny.
I thought the blood was paint, even the blade looks shiny!
just loving it like a tv show, 'what's Duncan's latest adventure?' I have concluded the plot is that the princess is for your own princess more than likely! Great Dad.
loving your adventure! fuel tank in and out what pia, but done now. Sounds excellent. A facebook fella came and got some parts his 2h only had 110k since factory, these engines sound good.
maybe more stumbling is required. I need another shed, to forget things I have. Wonderful, doesn't go off like chocolate.
I recall having a whole heap of 40 stuff somewhere, if I get my bj40 back one day.
Ohh and really don't mean any offence Duncan, I am loving your build.
Just here in Vic. I spoke to vass engineer about different chassis, to body to motor vins and straight away he said rebirth! Never heard of it before , naive sucker I am. Need every receipt for every purchase, need only...
I am beginning to conclude that SA ends up getting a few cars from NSW and Vic. It becomes too expensive and difficult to re-register them.
The VASS certificate here in vic. is my sort of nightmare. Lots of paperwork, receipts, meetings, tests and money..in vic. your build to register would be...
no unfortunately, 1984 230e, but lots of parts interchangeable on the w123 300d. When my Dad died, my brother took no interest so I look after her. Heavy and well made. 6 million were made for the U.S., Africa to the mid east.
Sometimes it is nice to get about in a smooth lounge with...
our club reg is similar, I have an old merc on $100 for 100 days.
But your general reg is way better. But then thankful in vic. once done once, you don't have to do it every year like NSW.
Wonder the difference of registering in S.A. compared to Vic. I am hoping to avoid having to go to a VASS engineer. Never heard of it being done online. I believe N.S.W. is the most difficult, rwc every year.
in the ,long ago, past I had an enzed fella come over, do a hard fuel return line for a b engine, filter to pump (simple job), he was a good fella, complained his colleagues were lazy, generally unhelpful to customers, so he went solo as a hose mec. 2x banjos soldered to two bends on copper...
