Can anyone recommend a good land cruiser mechanic in Central Kentucky? It looks like it's head gasket time for me and I really don't have the time to do it myself.
I re-wrapped the wiring harness with high heat tape a few months ago and at the time saw no signs of damage. Will have to recheck
Was thinking fuel filter but wanted to get feedback first
Connector at tps? What/where is this? I'm not familiar
So the other day I was out riding around in my 97 cruiser and she was running fine. I stopped to get out and wipe some mud from my boots, got back in and put her in drive and thats when the problem started. In drive the engine chokes out, if I feather the throttle I can get it up to about...
Didn't have the time available to send out the injectors for servicing but that would have been awesome...so would have been changing the phh while in there but can only do so much in one weekend.
Well, it was most likely the injector. R&R'd it and wrapped the harness really well.. When I fired it back up all codes were gone. Running well and no codes back as of yet.
So, got the #6 injector out and it ohms 13.7 so I'm thinking it is good. Inspected harness behind egr and it was in good shape. Re-wrapped it with cool tape. I was really hoping the injector would ohm bad and I'd know that was the problem. Getting ready to put it all back together and see what...
Getting ready to tear into the engine this weekend and see if its the wiring harness or the #6 injector causing this fault code. Looking for any advise on this tear down. I ordered an injector but are there any other parts required for this, gaskets, seals, etc? I need to get them on order...

I call BS! I started reading threads about the EFI relay and one guys said it was the cheapest repair he had ever sone on his LC. well... I just called a local dealer and they quoted me over $130 for the relay!!!
So I was driving around town at an insane 55 or 60 when all of a sudden my 80 coughed, sputtered and then died. It was flat lined well before I coasted to a stop on the roadside. The tach jumped once after falling completely to 0 and no other symptoms were displayed. Now it wont start and had...
