    Rear Bumpers Choices

    1) ARB - There is a ton of pieces to put together! Honestly out of the 2 bumpers I had it was the most solid and strongest bumper I’ve had on any vehicle! The biggest issue for me was it’s huge! I drug that bumper on every obstacle I ever took. It’s very heavy! 3) Dissent - He was one of the...

Went to the local hardware store and got the stuff needed to mount the license plate. I really couldn’t find a place I liked that worked with my rigid license plate light. So I decided under the cargo tray would be best. I drilled the holes and inserted nut-serts so the license plate brackets...

I had ordered the parts to convert my blower to the kind that has provisions for the cabin air filters. When I pulled everything apart I realized mine already had them! I could’ve sworn I had checked before and that was why I had never done it. Guess I forgot or something. So I slapped in the...

Tire carrier finally came in! I send it off to powdercoat and 2 days later it’s ready. So last weekend I installed it! I had the cargo tray laying around from when I first ordered my bumpers. After dealing with the dual swingouts on my Arb bumper I wasn’t sure I wanted to deal with the hassle...

I get home and reach out to Dissent about getting a new tire carrier. I know their designs have changed since I ordered my bumpers. They say they can make a retrofit kit and I can get a new tire carrier!! Awesome!! They send me an invoice for the amount of $0! They are going to replace the tire...

Back in September, It’s Labor Day weekend! Girlfriend and I are headed to Utah to camp for the weekend. We leave after work and head up. There was an accident on the freeway. Google says it’s going to add an extra 2 hours to our travel time. While parked I start looking and can see a road off...

The stitches on my leather shift knob started to come undone. So I finally got around to installing the LX470 shift knob! Simple job! Took me 30 minutes to knock out!

Toyota finally got the rear hatch struts back in stock. For the price of the Amazon chinesium units compared to OEM, I figured I would rather hold off till OEM was available again. While I was there I also bought a shiny new TRD Oil cap!

The license plate light that came with my dissent bumper stopped working about a year ago. I’ve been putting off getting a replacement for a long time. Finally decided to just get it fixed! So I bought this Rigid chase light. It has a LED light underneath meant for cargo area illumination (now...

Replaced the valve cover bolts, gaskets, spark plug tube seals, and spark plugs this morning. This Rhino rack tire step is super useful getting up into the engine bay. Made it a lot easier and didn’t have to worry about tipping step stools!

Got home and added a little LX470 wood trim to the radio surround. Help tie in the window switches and center console. Now I just have to find a decent wood steering wheel to add!
