I posted this in the 40 section but I think the 45 forum probably gets a quicker response.
after much reading, I've given in to ask the question... looking for compatibility info of a rocker arm assembly for 2F engines.
Question:
Can a later model 2F rocker assembly be used on an earlier 2F...
4500 plus freight plus paint. That’s close to 6. Seems alittle high. If you could get these in for the 4500 total would be an easier sell. Lot of money to drop to take off a perfectly working tray back to add a pickup bed.
can you snap a pic of the underside of the rear of this bed? i've got a flatbed on mine and trying to figure out hot to tie in a rear hitch and the top of the bed so its looks great like yours. thanks
jeff
I’m sorta in the same boat. Not finished with mine either. Mine has them but a 40 guru that’s working on mine says these aren’t factory. Wish I could offer some advice
No. I don’t speak Spanish 🤣. The weld line is from a crack in the frame. All 4 hangers have been rewelded at some point. And i’m guessing it was done in the field. Things are not lined up exactly and it’s putting stress in different places and some hangers are cracked. Things you can’t see...
Thanks for those details. So the 77 Canadian long bed truck should be the same as a Venezuelan long bed truck. I’d like to get a set of those hangers but I’m guess it’s gonna be super tough to find those.
yes that's perfect. thanks. no where near the same as what i have. mine gotta be replaced because they are cracked. trying to determine what i need to find.
Thanks in advance. I’m trying to figure out some suspension issues and spring hangers. Can someone snap a shot of the rear spring hanger, front side, to see how it mounts to the frame. A shot from back to front as close to inline with the frame the better. Thanks
Had a guy down there inspect it and thought it was pretty solid. There are a few places where there has been some repairs but nothing like solid filler. Shackles are shot and all 4 spring mounts have been rewelded at some point. That was disappointing but that’s part of buying something far away.
I reached out to Beno today. He loaded me up when I did my 60 resto. Just helps heaving parts breakdowns so I can see the gaskets needed and make a parts list. Makes ordering go faster. Helps on reassembly too when it sits for a bit before putting something back together.
I’m proud to say I’m now a 45 owner. Recently acquired a 1977 long wheelbase truck. I’m looking for a PDF of the parts breakdown for looking up door seal roof seal door handles etc. Can someone provide a link to the full truck parts breakdown? It’s in really good shape, low miles and no rust...
