No engine temp in gauge cluster

What’s more, I seem to have a YG wire dangling in my engine compartment, and cannot seem to find a temp sending unit anywhere near the thermostat housing. Am I correct in interpreting that the temp sending unit is just...

    Devil’s Tap?

Can anybody help me identify this blue / black wire I found sitting over the passenger wheel well in my BJ40? It’s currently disconnected with seemingly no effect? Is it the infamous “devils tap” to create 12 V headlight circuits?

    My 1978 BJ40 (3b) Project

It was explained to me that the 3 B was actually designed to accommodate a turbo through multiple features, but just wasn’t placed on that block. Many people who consider themselves experts in the 3B say that the vehicle runs better with a turbo— perhaps even with better fuel economy.

    My 1978 BJ40 (3b) Project

Hilarious - SO TRUE - it mainly serves as a visual and physical reminder that the car is in park/not running/neutral.

    My 1978 BJ40 (3b) Project

I don’t know if my 3B is tired or what, but I’m literally in second gear climbing the Appalachian foothills here in the piedmont of Virginia.

    New to me BJ40

Greetings, I recently acquired this 1978 BJ40 with a 3B engine and started working to get it on the road. Little did I know that the vehicle would spend the next eight months in and out of five different shops, working on electrical problems, fuel, leaks, oil, leaks, etc. I think I finally have...
