i wanna say that the bolts were either 3/8" or 1/2" not sure of the top of my head, i had them made by oregon auto spring in portland. And the lip i feel really beefed up the mounting plates, and gave it a more finished look.

For the center I used a piece of 1/8" flat aluminum, that would be held into place using button head allen bolts just for looks. I also used a little bondo on the front sides where the sheet metal is just to fill in the seems so i didnt get rust coming through after i rattle can...
