Just don't be in a hurry to buy. Just because you have 2k and there is a 40 for sale don't let the money burn a hole in your pocket. Keep saving and looking and you will know when it is the right one. There are good deals to be found.

I think those parts are for where the metal part of the fiberglass cap attaches to the top of the windshield frame.

I am going to paint my 40 inside and out. Is one gallon typically enough. If I buy a gallon then need more is it ok to buy another couple of quarts or should I buy it at the same time. So I can mix it together. My 40 is orange I place to to prime it then paint it dune beige. Thanks

Yes it will be for my 66. The vin puts it a 66 model. It has the five window top with the rounded corner windows. Not the corrugated side style. It was a factory soft top model but the dealer installed a hard top on it and sold it as a hard top. I am going to check out the fiberglass after...
