I’ve finely made up my mind and I went with EBC rotors and pads. Do y’all think I should go ahead and upgrade calipers? I don’t really want to spend the money right now but if I’m already diving into the brakes is it worth it to do a full overhaul? My gx has 160k on the clock if that helps.
thanks for all the input guys. I have decided to upgrade. to answer " what do you mean by upgrading?" I want more stopping power. I have felt the lack of power over the past couple of years with adding a lift and bigger tires and traveling the country with a bunch of gear with grown men on steep...
My rotors are about toast. Instead of getting them turned or trying to investigate any other problems that could be an issue, I’m thinking of upgrading. Is it worth it? I’ve been recommended EBC which seem high (for me) I’m all about buying quality, but is it that much better than oem or other...
Do any of y’all have a suggestion for service manual for gx460? Without paying an arm and a leg. Do I spend the money and get the right thing? Or just fumble around on the internet trying to find a potential diagram or write up someone else has done?
thanks for the responses! I am curious as to what the metal thing y'all are talking about. I reached my hand back in there and only found the metal arm that the exterior latch is connected to(which isn't the problem) . I need the latch to unlock it. I could be an idiot about it and just not...

thanks for the replies. I understand what to replace and how to do it., but the problem is the actuator has failed while the door is closed. this means that I can't open the hatch to remove everything properly.
has anyone replaced the rear hatch actuator motor themselves? I've done some prying and cutting (plans to make fold down table) where necessary and have contact with the actuator now. but the problem his how do I actually get inside it to replace the motor. should I just rip the thing out and...
It's just a screen. Not touch screen. It showed pretty much the same as the instrument cluster display along with the back-up camera. I have it in a 2010. I like the "old fashioned" buttons. Buttons are better than a screen in my opinion
i have spacers to install, just havent gotten around to actually doing it. they do slightly rub on the uca but only at full turning of the wheel. i just avoid doing that so they dont actually rub.
I've done a few things since the lift when I first posted: 285/65/18 ko2s. Yakima cross bars, ARB Awning, and an unbelievable trip across the country to Moab and Telluride area
I think its about time we have a pic thread of our vehicles on here. Here is mine, 2010 gx 460 with the running boards off and then shortly after OME 3" Lift. Im waiting on these tires to run their time and then i will be adding some BFG KO2s
im starting to organize the storage for the gx and really want to lose some weight in my tool bag. i really just want the essentials for this vehicle and im curious as if some one has any suggestions or share what they keep tucked away. thanks in advance
