Oof. That's a big difference that I never noticed. My guess is the TRD uses wheel spacers to give it a wider stance, resulting in rub on the mud shields and rather than redesign or trim, they adjust the stops for a lesser articulation.
Well, allocations are certainly moving through dealerships with October delivery. Just had to pass on a Capstone with my dealer. Still essentially priced at MSRP plus TTLD.
The amazing part is that if you just call around, you can find dealerships who will commit to MSRP. I maybe spent 3 hours with email or text to find 2 dealers who would provide a LOI for MSRP sales, so if we assume the average markup is even $10k, that is $3000/hr for my time. If those people...
If you ask 5 dealerships you will get 5 answers. What is clear is that the allocation process will only result in a limited inventory of each trim at any given dealer, so if you want a specific trim or color, my current estimate for planning purposes is January, despite being #1 on my dealer's...
I can't find it on mobile, but I thought that some Sequoia trims did have the moving air dam, such as the Platinum/Capstone line.
Also, I do think this is an unfortunate miss but given the primary audience they are catering to, not going to make or break a purchase decision for most people...
According to the specs builder, the TRD Pro is the only model fixed to 4x4 only. All others appear to have a 4x2 option. Even the SR5 exceeds 6000# (albeit barely) with 4x4. However, not defending Toyota on this-- definitely a heavy vehicle. I wouldn't compare to the 200 as much as the 300...
I am a little biased...that was the color of my FJ Cruiser. I would also take a proper tan or battleship gray, basically a Trail Teams edition color. The Solar Flare Orange Dayglow is just too much for my eyes.
Personally, I view it as very competitive with the Expedition or Tahoe, and very similar pricing, just without the lower entry level prices for a base model. Also, it is the first 2023 vehicle with pricing, I would expect moderate price increases on all 2023 models.
My dealer is sending me weekly texts, but so far no real updates. He is telling me to temper expectations and expect Jan/Feb 2023 because although I am first on the list, there is no guarantee that the TRD Pro is in the first few allocations. It all seems like a guessing game depending upon who...
Yeah, as much as I would love a giant tank, none of my Toyotas have had the option. However, I did experience an emotional roller coaster reading this thread since I have a deposit in on a TRD Pro. I guess I'll just have to bust out the Jerry cans for road trips. Maybe an excuse to invest in...
