I'm thinking you might have been a bit happier with more belt wrap around that P.S. pump pulley, i.e. 180 degree wrap more ideal. Reason, when in off road terrain (primarily rocks) every time your tire comes up against a rock that wants to turn the tire, the pump comes under stalling pressure...
