See my post just above yours. Mine pretty much only worked while driving until I replaced the oil in my fan clutch. It actually turned out that my fan clutch was almost empty, too.
This is exactly what was occurring with my 94, and it was resolved by putting a high weight oil in my fan clutch. Ever since that change it's ice cold even when stopped and 100+ outside.
I'd love to get rid of a few things. All parts are used, but functioning. I'm lucky enough to be in a financial situation that allows me to replace/upgrade parts when troubleshooting. Bad parts are thrown out or rebuilt.

If I factor in the tires, it comes closer 13. The 16-17 was after the larger tires.
I'll try running higher octane, it might make a difference at this altitude.
That's one of the frustrating things... If I hadn't achieved it at the beginning, I wouldn't be upset about the mileage now. But instead, I had something special and it was taken from me!
I usually run 85 octane and prefer costco or chevron gas.
Yes and No... I got 16-17 MPG on the freeway after the lift and tires, but before the rack and tent. However, I regularly remove the rack and tent when they're not being used, and the mileage stays in the 12 range.

When I first got my cruiser a few years ago, it got incredible fuel economy, 16-17MPG freeway. During the past 2 years, it's steadily decreased, now hovering around 11.5 around town and 12 on the freeway.
During this time I have done the following to try to address:

This with some onion powder, steak seasoning, garlic powder, chili powder, cayanne, and whatever other staples. It's similarly sized to a normal spice bottle.
I use this set that I got at Home Depot for $99 to completely store everything I need for my kitchen, including pans, coffee maker, coffee, lights, seasonings, cleaning materials, knives, utensils, etc...
Yes, tank and purge are appropriately connected.
I believe Costco uses E10 (10% ethanol).
I disconnected both hoses to verify that there was vacuum on the intake manifold (purge) side, and when disconnecting the tank side, it was releasing vapor.
It is worth noting that I did find that my...
Hate to bump an old thread, but I swapped my CC to the VC120 and this weekend after a quick drive up about 4000 feet over an hour in 90 degree weather caused a very very high amount of tank pressure. Did I do something wrong?
This is the exact same concept as the Singer Porsche's with a very comparable effort involved. In the case of the Singer, the cost is usually around $750k AFTER the donor car. $400k for a frame off restoration and effort that goes into a turn-key 100% integrated swap that retains stock...
My FZJ will occasionally act like it's stuck in second as if the snow or 2nd button is in use. However, being a 1994, it doesn't have the start in second option. It will continue to do this until I shift it info 1st, and then it will start normally in 1st.
Any ideas? I've searched and read way...
