What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Pulled the fuel injectors to send out for refurbishing. Took me about 4 hours. Exhausting but fun.

What should I include in this tune up?

Yeah, I'm going to replace the valve cover gasket and spark plug seals. I was also planning on replacing the vacuum lines. Any thing else you can think of?

    Fuel injector refurbishing

Yeah, I checked the wiring harness and heat wrap around the 5 and 6 injectors and they looked all right, but you make a good point so I'll check it one more time just to be sure. Thanks for the heads up. Rick

    Fuel injector refurbishing

It was idling low and rough and since I'm not very good at troubleshooting (a man needs to know his limitations right?) I took it to a mechanic friend and he checked it out and said the #6 injector wasn't working.

Hey guys, I'm waiting for my fuel injectors to be cleaned and serviced. It seems like a good time for a complete tune up, right? Any suggestions of what I should replace while I have it torn down? Thanks Rick

Can anybody tell me what this is?

I've owned my 94 since it was new so I know this is from the factory. I just bought a trailer and I wanted to see if there was a connection for the brake lights and when I crawled under the rear bumper I saw this hanging right behind the bumper. I've asked the people at the auto parts stores and...

    Completely confused

The front is almost 2 inches lower. Isn't that a lot of spacer? Also, the front driver side is 0.5 lower than the front passenger side. It kinda looks like the shock may have leaked. I may need new shocks. Oh yeah...that's another thing.....I was also told that the stock shocks are inadequate...

    Anyone have this battery problem?

Thanks for the input george_tlc!! I traced the power draw to the driving lights(actually the rear stop lights at the rear sides of the vehicle) when I turned the driving lights off .....no power draw. This is good. However, I believe that even with the driving light switch in the on...

Using 3rd row leather to redo front seats?

You might want to consider selling your 3rd row seats and then use the cash to repair you front seats. I would think you would come out ahead financially. Just my 2 cents. Rick(option13)
