WDYD What did you do on your 70 series today?

I wonder if they have changed design since. My seat covers look different from yours.

WDYD What did you do on your 70 series today?

Agreed! I believe there is a RHD or LHD option for the dash cover. The transmission cover is also super handy!

WDYD What did you do on your 70 series today?

Yeah these are Escape Gear. So yeah on the topic of the headrests. I managed to get the front seat cover headrests on but not the back bench seat before I realized the differences as you mentioned. The fit is extremely tight and not a lot of give to the fabric.

Fantastic! It is bizarre to see an identical 79 as mine. Hah right down to the pin striping! Did you raptor line the side steps? Mine are slippery and ive nearly caught my teeth on the A pillar. Think I will raptor line them for a little extra grip!

1HZ sputter and loss of power

Clear hose is the way to go. Though not in -27. Soon as it’s “warmed up” I’ll be tackling it.

1HZ sputter and loss of power

@bcsteel Negative. Used the existing Toyota locking cap from the old tank. Had visually inspected the lines and I couldn’t find any obvious so assumed good - shouldn’t have assumed.

1HZ sputter and loss of power

Ya that is also on my list of to does. My issue is that it is not a constant issue, its sporadic but none the less I should give it a go.

1HZ sputter and loss of power

Appreciate the explanation and detail @mudgudgeon. Constantly learning which is a good thing. With your explanation it certainly sounds like what I am experiencing. Now to find the culprit. There are a few variables given the custom work so will need to isolate each and rule out. Again I...

1HZ sputter and loss of power

Cheers! I am thinking along the same lines. Has to be sucking air in somewhere. My thought though was that if it was sucking air I’d notice the white smoke on the drive up to the mountain with acceleration. Event only happens after I’ve skied and come back to the truck and it’s been sitting...

BJ60 Air Leaks Only When Cold

I have been having a similar issue though on a 1HZ. Air leak from somewhere. Hope you found the culprit.

1HZ sputter and loss of power

Evening all, Hit a bit of a wall in trying to self diagnose an issue I am having with my 2001 HZJ79. This truck is a conversion from ex-fire service in Japan and just hit 26,000kms on the ODO. Modifications that were done are a new 90L fuel tank and fuel filler neck from another 70 series. The...

Yes sir. The truck came with dedicated winters on the split rims so I’d be a fool not to run them over the MT tires. I had forgotten how heavy the tire was when doing the swap. Not light!!

Have not done much on the truck lately. All the parts are ready and waiting in the garage for the roof conversion as well as adding a rear window but realistically that will be a spring job. I had noticed a little rub on my OME rear shocks and got in touch with ARB. They had me sorted quickly...
