91 FJ80 for sale in Humboldt County California. Clean unit. AC & heaters works. Approx. 150k on body. 2nd engine, 3rd head. 70 psi in #5 cylinder. Other cylinders above 100 and fairly even. Leak down test on #5 indicated air leaking from oil filler & tail pipe. Was consuming a little water but...

Bad EFI relay I replaced had melted the EFI fuse. All fixxy now. Puttin a spare relay in the glove box for good measures. I can get pretty far out in the bush in Lake county. onward,

Big uhoh! LC died on the wife on a turn last night. She was going slow and barley able to wrangle it to the curb. Lucky she wasn't on the highway again. Towed home and off the the shop on monday. Don't want anyone to die. :cool:

guys in motor pool here at work tested the offending relay. toast! hope that was all the offending items. seems to be running fine. onward, :cool:

13 mile drive into work and the relay was warm at best. Fixed? No issues driving to work this trip. Onward cautiously, :cool:

No issues on the 13 mile drive home but the EFI relay was pretty hot. :cool:

no power and 0 rpms then it came back to life is what I'm understanding. :cool:

Update, she didn't pull over to restart, it restarted on it own on the highway as it was rolling along. :cool:

Wife was driving the LC to town just now and let off gas pedal and decelerated at the 'safety corridor" then noticed no throttle response no steering . looked down at gauges and saw the previously always on checkenginelight not on and Tach at zero. She didn't not see all the other dash...

worked when I re-bench tested so I reinstalled the regulator with a side trip to re-attach it to the glass (urgh!). Installed but there is too much drag to let it go more than half way down. Still, better than no window or one taped or propped up. Onward, :cool:

Left rear window stopped working...1/2 way down of course. Power to the switch at rest and second wire in the plug had power when master switch window switch activated but no worky. Tried to activate switch and tug and wiggle window. Even pounded on door panel. Still no worky. Getting dark so I...
