    New project, 1969 fj40

I was out of range for a bit tonight, thanks for trying though! 🙂 Unless the mailbox is full you should be able to leave a voicemail either way. I’ll delete some messages just in case. I’ll get a money order started for that amount for now.

I haven’t tried to buy them, but my local Napa says they have them.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I have to find someone to do that to my hardtop side for the lift gate brace 😕

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Hardest part is getting the old ones out. One shackle slid out easily, the other took a lot of persuading. I took some scotchbrite pads and rolled them up to scuff out the hangers and springs, then hosed them out with brake parts cleaner. I found some Heavy duty wheel bearing grease to lube...

Yes, but the dash is low priority. Right now I have to figure out how to join my 9mm brake line T to the T on my new to me axle (could be 9 or 10 mm, not sure yet).

    New project, 1969 fj40

Got the axle under it today. Now I need to clean up the u bolts, maybe throw a new end on the steering rod, see if I can get some bushings for the shackles.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Cleaned up the front end that’s been sitting in my yard for a couple years now, and yanked the current one out of the truck.

Best way to feed my new to me disc brake front end? 1969 fj40

I swear I’ve read where people have done it. I will if I have to but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. The person I got the axle from said he had a single reservoir and it was fine 🤷🏼‍♂️

Best way to feed my new to me disc brake front end? 1969 fj40

I realize this. The master was replaced somewhat recently. I don’t drive it enough for it to be the main concern at the moment. The housing lines are good, I just need to figure out how to go from frame to housing. Once I get it back on the road I can see if I need to adapt some sort of dual...

    @Toyotamatt / vintageteqparts.com ...

I need a handful of those pin wrench nuts (I’m assuming those are the ‘bezels’ that sit on the dash). Mine got mangled when I removed them. Probably because I didn’t have the right tool 😕

Best way to feed my new to me disc brake front end? 1969 fj40

Not too concerned with the master at the moment, I mainly want to get the axle connected.

Best way to feed my new to me disc brake front end? 1969 fj40

So I’m finally getting to swapping the front end in I bought a couple years ago. My question is: the ‘new’ front end has one brake line input, a T near the vent that feeds both sides via hardlines running across the housing. My original setup has the hard line running from a T on the frame...
