What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

New custom steel rack for soft top over bed , new winch with custom mounting plate, new Rigid lights all for HJ45. Rebuilt knuckles on both 40 & 45. Had caked up mud removed from inside of 45 frame hollow. Tightened steering on 40. Backed both into Land Cruiser Only parking.

Just bought my 1st BJ42... never restored anything before, this should be interesting.

Just saw that one a few weeks ago. Barney fell head over heels. It broke down on the first ride. Andy tracked her down and discovered it was a ring of mobsters stealing cars off the street and selling them - with her at helm.

    Powder Coat Bed Rack

I plan on the same color as the truck. I removed and saved the headache rack and had the fabricator match the design. I just got another quote from a place 15 min away from the other one. He quoted only $250.

    Powder Coat Bed Rack

Archie What did your cage look like. One issue with mine it’s so big that it requires a place that has a room to handle this size.

Bed Bow Rack for HJ45 fabricated.

Just had a bed bow rack fabricated. Should be strong enough as a roll bar and to carry accessories with a Molle board. Entire rack needs powder coating and can be easily removed. Tell me your thoughts. Waiting on soft top canopy cover to be made.

That red BJ is going to take more than a cosmetic procedure. Your costs will add up.

Its not a bad as it sounds. It's more like a small battery operated dental burr. It removes the rust ring. Don't we hate rust?

As a vitreoretinal surgeon I can agree with gerg. “Simple” eye injuries are superficial specks of metal from metal to metal contact such as hammering, grinding and cutting. I just removed one using a Q-tip though many require a needle and rust ring drill. More serious injuries occur when metal...

Most injuries by far are to do with the eye. Never underestimate the ability if a little piece of metal to bounces all over the place and off the side of your nose bypassing your glasses and go straight into your eye. Don't ignore it. Get it out. If it's a shard it can lodge perminantly in your...

The hardest part is hugging the white line on the right and... reaching for the turn signal post on the wrong side. Fun part is when folks think my dog is driving.
