    Steering Wheel Compatibility 80 Series

Have you tried it inkpot? No airbag on this 80, but that sucks about the other things that are different.

    Steering Wheel Compatibility 80 Series

Hi all, Will a steering wheel off of a 60 series fit onto an 80 series? I imagine it's just a case of whether the splines are the same, and whether the horn connectors are the same? Why do I ask? I love the style of 60 series wheel pictured below (I used to have a HJ61)... It's much nicer...

Identify these Wheels! Mint 80 Series

Okay I may have an answer to my own question. They may be Stockton Series 20 rims. Heres a photo I found on this forum. The details match... I think

Identify these Wheels! Mint 80 Series

Thanks for the replies, the Wheel Vintiques are cool, so are Summit ones in that for sale ad. But as you guys mentioned, the details in the wheels on that blue 80 are what makes them so awesome to me. They also look 17" or so which is not too common.

Identify these Wheels! Mint 80 Series

The above is a 16" toyota split rim for reference. Notice the four "holes" around the inner barrel, which are absent from the example in the original post. The 15" 40 series one piece steel wheels also have these holes, so the wheels in that blue 80 are definitely not OEM landcruiser anything...

Identify these Wheels! Mint 80 Series

What model are they off? They aren't 40/60/70/80 series 16" split rims, nor are they the 15" 40 series steel wheels. These look 16" if not 17".

Identify these Wheels! Mint 80 Series

Hi guys, I found this amazing 80 series on Instagram. I absolutely love this aesthetic. Is this car on ih8mud? I would love to know what steel wheels are on it. Does anyone know the brand?

For Sale 4 BFGoodrich AT KO 315's FJ steelies 1-1/2 spacers

Long since sold, but just curious, could you run the FJC steel wheels and these size tyres without the spacers? Considering doing this in Australia but can't use spacers as the truck is going to be engineered (they are illegal here).

35s, no flares, and within the guards... Help!

It isn't specified but it is usually considered to the be tread of the wheel or the actual rim itself. A bit of sidewall sticking out , but with the tread still under the guards is usually okay.

35s, no flares, and within the guards... Help!

The law is basically when all four tyres are on level ground, the wheel as a whole cannot protrude outwards of the guard without something covering it. I am not concerned about fowling on the roof of the wheelwells, but I am more concerned about the inside face of the tyre hitting the inside...

35s, no flares, and within the guards... Help!

My second question, can a 35x12.5" tyre even fit under the guards without fowling or rubbing? Is this why most people require wheels with an offset to space them outside the guard, for tyre clearance?

35s, no flares, and within the guards... Help!

Hi all, I know that the flareless look is really popular here, so I am hoping someone can help me out. I am looking for pictures and wheel information (width and offset/backspace) for anyone is running 35" tyres, no flares, and the tyres are still under the guards or in line with the guards...

    The Desert Cruiser

I had no issue with an offset of 0 (stock splits) on my 61 that I just recently sold - although the tyres were 33x10.5" so I would say if I had a regular 12.5" tyre it would be a dilemma. You should get some 255/100 michelin XZL and keep the lower offset, something about 60s looks really nice in...

    60 Series Steering Problems

Hey guys, I have an 89 hj61 and have some unusual steering problems. About a month or so ago I installed some 255/85 bfg km2 and got a wheel alignment. The steering wheel was almost perfect straight and the car didnt wander/ it went fairly straight forward. Since then though the car has got...

The "Official" 1HZ/1HD-T/1HD-FT Airbox/Intake Mod Thread

Has anyone ever had a decent look at one of these airbox's off the FZ 100/105 series. I imagine they would flow similar to the metal FZ lid a few pages back? I am looking for an upgrade to my HJ61 airbox, I cannot find the metal FZ lid easily, but this entire plastic FZ airbox is only $150...

    Split Rim Bead Seating Problem

Ok so I put some dish soap around the tyre and pumped them up to 40psi with a faster compressor (from a petrol station), which leads me to believe that my problem stems from lack of lubrication. Three tyres seated properly front back now, but still having problem with one of them. Did not have...

    Tire Selection Help

Why do you want to go with 17" rim? If you stick to 15 or 16 you get alot more choices and tyres are usually cheaper. I just bought 255/85r16 for my 61 and its perfect.

    Split Rim Bead Seating Problem

Hey guys, I have just got myself some 255/85r16 KM2s for my 60 series split rims. I have mounted the tyres back onto the rims and have the ring seated properly, with the split opposite of the valve. Just when I pump them up, the bead does not seem to seat where the valve is. The bead seats...
