For Sale Rochester NY 1996 triple locked LX450 190000 miles

Sorry for the delay. I spent my weekend putting a new furnace in the house and didn't have daylight to check this out. What you're describing is not at all what is happening. No idea why it looks like this in the pictures, and I'm having a hard time getting a picture that doesn't look this...

Here is the area cleaned up. The white is a sealant. No cracks in the metal. What your seeing is the paint lifting.

I do have some actually. And just to clarify, it is sprayed with Woolwax with black tint. It's a lanolin based product, similar to Fluid Film, which is made specifically for this application.

Yes, I have all the seats still. They're stored high and dry in by basement. Thanks for the question, I'll edit the post to include that.

For Sale  Rochester NY 1996 triple locked LX450 190000 miles

I purchased this rig from another member here in 2018. Purchased in Key West Florida, and drove home to New York. It’s been dead reliable ever since. Mostly stock outside, with the addition of a Prinsu roof rack and Viper4x4 running boards, the truck sits on 315/75R16 Cooper Discoverer SST...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Dude I hear you about the list. This only made it to the top of the list because it is my work vehicle. Here in upstate NY, winter was the worst time to be doing that project considering my garage is too small to fit both the truck and the project, and each time I wanted to take a measurement...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

The intention is definitely for a sleeping platform. I've deleted the driver side rear seat. Debating on deleting the passenger side, but that's where our old dog sits. She's pretty unsteady these days, so I need to confine her in to something while traveling. A lot of useful space is gained...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

This has been a winter project. Heres my attempt at a drawer/platform system. Still some work left with the drawer front and lots of tweaking everwhere. Debating on carpet or bedliner for the floor.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Slow progress on my GooseGear inspired rear platform/ drawer situation. I did manage to get the seat delete finished and installed, which was my current priority.

First gen all the way. 4cyl 5 speed, manual shift transfer case (in the 2000 any way). Boy I miss mine!

    Another perspective on rear storage

^^^ an obvious better solution that I wish I thought of before I drilled my holes and countersunk washers. Oh well. Hex bolts it is! A pic just because.

    Another perspective on rear storage

I'm using the seat attachment points and they're DEFINITELY 1.25 pitch, unfortunately. Yeah, otherwise I would have saved myself the headache and used SAE bolts. I can find hex head bolts in my specs, just not anything low profile. :bang:

    Another perspective on rear storage

Just like that, yes. Are you finding it in a 1.25 pitch?
