Power window master switch not working - can't close window

I don't think so. The door and window lock buttons are on opposite sides, as is the switch to window relationship. I have thought about stripping components off a LHD unit to replace bad components on mine though... or maybe I will just buy the second-hand one I've seen.

Power window master switch not working - can't close window

The housing, switches, etc. are fine. Diagnosis says the Master Switch has failed, so I assume it is the electronics. So, internals. There appears to be a relay in there, and I might investigate if that is working at some time. I have been able to make the driver's side window lower and raise...

Power window master switch not working - can't close window

Thanks Kevin, I have my eye on one, but they want $245 for a used original one out of a 1998 LX470. Given that the Chinese ones are around $23, that is hard to swallow. I could run through ten Chinese units for the same cost!

Power window master switch not working - can't close window

Well, I'm still looking for a Master Window Switch for a RHD 1998 LX470. There are lots of LHD switches out there for less than $30, but no RHD switches. Does anybody have any ideas on where to find a RHD version? I've checked eBay in Japan and the UK, and a couple of other countries that drive...

Power window master switch not working - can't close window

Having a similar problem. Diagnosis using the manual says it is the Master Panel Door Switch. The above has me worried, except, as of today May 22 2020: 84820-60100 Power Window Master Switch for Lexus LX470 For Toyota Land Cruiser US$28.99 on eBay. Item specifics Condition: New Custom...

    Yellowbox Speedometer Correction Install

BTW, I received a reply from Jennifer who said they still do custom length wiring harnesses for the Yellow Box. I didn't see it on the order form though. I guess once I measure up I shall have to email my requirement.

    Yellowbox Speedometer Correction Install

Thanks guys. I've sent an email asking about Australian pricing, given the current exchange rate. Our dollar only buys 68.4 of your cents, so it makes quite a difference!

    Yellowbox Speedometer Correction Install

You received a reply trdcorolla? You did better than I did. I never got an answer to my email. It's a shame that custom cable lengths are no longer supplied, but it does look like that option has disappeared from the ordering page. I think I'll order anyway, as my concern was lag in response...

    Yellowbox Speedometer Correction Install

Yeah, I was thinking of sticks and branches thrown up catching it, plus stones thrown up. I have driven a lot of Australia's outback, often on rocky roads at speed, and the stone damage can be considerable. I have bolt heads under there that may need to be cut off they are so damaged. I've also...

    Yellowbox Speedometer Correction Install

Thanks for the feedback guys, particularly your positive experience Chris. Also thanks for the extra photos. I would be a little concerned about the cable hanging down like that though. It may get caught on something, or just get destroyed by stones. In Australia at least. I'm going to try to...

    Yellowbox Speedometer Correction Install

Well, I'm at a theoretical 5.4% over the indicated speed on the speedo. My actual observed difference is more like 10%, probably because my old tyres had no tread on them! About 10% i.e. I'm doing 66Km/h when the speedo indicates 60 Km/h. In Australia, that is enough to get you a lot of...

    Yellowbox Speedometer Correction Install

I'm about to buy one of these for my 1998 Lexus LX470 after changing from 275/70R16 tyres to Cooper ST Maxx 285/75R16 tyres. But I'm concerned about reports of lag. That just isn't good, as the speedo on the LX470 has been very responsive and precise with the standard tyres and no correction...

LX470 AHC, Rear Accumulators On Front

When you say the B&B Suspension units had failed, what do you mean exactly? Had the diaphragm torn so it was leaking gas into the AHC system, or had they just lost gas pressure? If the later, did you try to get the B&B spheres recharged? My B&B spheres didn't last that well either, but the...

Definitive list of AHC maintenance items

That is a very good price. Unfortunately I can't find them on the site for my 1998 LX470 (UZJ100R-GNPGKQ, 2UZ-FE) or a similar model. Could you post a direct link to the ones you bought, or post the exact description and part number? Thanks. EDIT: I didn't drill down far enough. I...

I looked at the more expensive cable, but concluded that the Mini VCI cable itself was identical to the cheaper version. The only real difference is the inclusion of the 16 to 22 pin cable, which is used for earlier Toyota vehicles with the 22 pin plug. Mine has a 16 pin Multiplex OBD plug, so I...

Not yet, but I haven't been able to get back to it. I might try the earlier version of Techstream next. But it isn't looking good for 1998 Australian delivered LX470's!

Well, I thought I may have solved the problem when I looked at the last of my images above, which clearly shows that the MVCI DLL version is 1.4.6 instead of the installation file version of 2.0.1. So I had a look at the versions of the MVCI driver that I had collected. While some files had a...

Well, I've uninstalled Techstream, removed all left over directories and cleaned the registry of Techstream settings, twice, and it still isn't working. On both occassions I just installed Techstream and the MVCI Driver, without changing the DLL or entering a code, just as you did uHu. In fact...

Thanks uHu. I'll try it your way. If that works I'll be happy. There are at least three different installation methods that I have seen documented with various versions of the cracked Techstream; the Key Generator crack, the replacement DLL, and the pirate Key Code. The CD I received has...
