    ...these codes getting misdiagnosed as cat issues when in reality it was something else. P0420 means there’s an issue with the driver side exhaust. I had P0430 (passenger side) and found that there was a leak at the rear o2 sensor. The leak could be coming from a variety of places in your situation.

    Can't complain when these Serra prices are better than Impex, Partsouq etc. Just placed an order for a pair of rear O2 sensors for $86/ea, to solve a P0430. Also tempted to pull the trigger on a pair of new cats, at "only" $869/ea!

    Maybe replace the left downstream O2 sensor—cheap part and about a 30 second job; my P0420 hasn’t come back since.
