    Running wires down windshield

I used some braded sleeving and these cable clips. You can't see it from inside the vehicle, and I really don't notice it from outside. The adhesive on the clips does seem to be genuine 3m VHB. I do live in SoCal, so water and snow aren't something I need to worry about very often. I do have a...

    Master Cylinder Rebuild - DIY

Great idea! might be a bit overkill, but no denying that it will come out cleaner and smoother than the option I used.

    Master Cylinder Rebuild - DIY

You can bleed the brakes with a vacuum assisted system.... but probably easier just to have someone to help. They don't need to be a licensed driver, any kid who can press the brake pedal over and over should work.

    Slee Mount with Smittybilt Compressor?

Did you have to extend/change the PS hoses to relocate the reservoir?

    Alternator Voltage Booster

I agree.... it might not allow much more than 7.5A to come through. I don't have the right equipment to test, but would be great if someone who did would see how many amps the diode will take before it pops. A company called TE connectivity makes a handy little fuse holder that should make it...

    Alternator Voltage Booster

I've been running that same diode for a few thousand miles now in my '03 LX... seems to be working well! I do get voltage readings every now and then on my Ultragauge of like 15.1 volts, but it's only for a brief moment. (I have an alert setup to let me know if voltage goes above 15, which is...

    Slee Mount with Smittybilt Compressor?

How has this setup been working? Picked up the same pump, and was thinking about doing this exact same install! Any perceived issues with the compressor being sideways? Any issues with heat from the engine bay being an issue?

I think BORA makes them to order.... so if you want 1", place an order. I just inquired last week, and lead times were 3-4 weeks for the spacers

I'm guessing the commutator bar has to be pulled off and pressed back on. Could be very difficult to do for a home-gamer. I'm not seeing an obvious keyway on the armature shaft or in the image of the replacement commutator. https://www.groschopp.com/wp-content/uploads/armature-parts_small.jpg

    Master Cylinder Rebuild - DIY

If you have the snap ring off, it will come out. I ended up threading the nut back on with a smaller box wrench up against the back of the nut.. I then hit the wrench near where it is on the nut with a hammer and that was enough to pop the cylinder out.

    Master Cylinder Rebuild - DIY

I think those lights will come on if the booster motor runs for too long and/or enough pressure can't be built up. If you have access to the computer scanner software thing (can't think of the name right now), you can read all of sensors and values and get codes to help narrow down what the...

    Master Cylinder Rebuild - DIY

There is a plate with several holes in it, those holes have seals that are molded to the aluminum plate. If one of those seals is shot, it makes sense that you would get a leak right where you're talking about. You might be able to undo the 4 bolts that hold the ABS block onto the side of the...

    Master Cylinder Rebuild - DIY

the reservoir does have three seals on the bottom where it connects to the MC, one of those could be leaking. It could also be where one of the brake lines connects into the MC, or either end of the high pressure line that goes from the booster pump area into the master cylinder. I suppose it...

    Master Cylinder Rebuild - DIY

There are no serviceable parts listed by Toyota, and no diagrams on disassembly/assembly. With that said, they did have to build them, and put everything together, so it has to come apart somehow. On the front side there is a threaded cover which looks like it might be able to undone, but the...
