I've forgotten most of my chemistry, but iirc, if there were corrosives in the tank, then there will be free metal ions on the metal surface. If you just let all the liquid out and then use the tank without cleaning it, I would think the ions would flow with the fuel and start bonding to...
You know what I googled the box and got nothing
I did rip out a cruise control lever thing from the steering column and a vacuum actuator from the throttle linkage when I got the vehicle like five years ago. I bet you're right.
Nope no key fob. Front doors don't have any motors in them, I've never taken rears apart though.
I should also say I have verified that the original engine control circuit board is where it's supposed to be, and that the vehicle runs fine with the orange box tossed into the back seat.
Doing some chassis electrical modification, I'll definitely do a write up on that even if just to stroke my own ego.
But it seem the PO has been thinking (a dangerous pastime indeed) and came up with an idea.
Now I pose to you, the people who have seen everything under the sun:
What the hell...

I made the brilliant decision to try and use a right angle drill to drill out the bolt center instead of dropping out the fuel tank And using drill guides.
Because of this the drill...

I have an '85 and it has just some basic issues like rough idle and a bit of a dirty fuel tank. I'm in the norther colorado area.
I've been recommended to use Fred's in loveland by one person but was just looking for another opinion.
Float is level, there is fuel in the filter, and the manafold is holding steady exactly at 15 inches of mercury
And because this is pump 4 this is quickly becoming simple
Took 15 minutes to load the pump with a little fuel, bolt in pump, siphon fuel up to the fuel filter from the tank, take a...
