I have both front fenders, both front doors and left rear door for sale on eBay, okay shape. enclosed is a link to one auction, see my other auctions. Make me an offer, mention that you saw it here. Want to get rid of these before the snow flies...
Happy Thanksgiving everyone,
After combing the forum threads for a couple of days here is my question. I need to replace my coil...can I use one with an internal resistor and jettison the "igniter". I have a 1986 FJ60. I have looked at schematics, read a number of threads having to do with...
Even though I have the FSM, it is still not completely clear. It says tighten down completely, to me that means tighten that plug until it does not turn anymore, then back it off a turn and a third. Then it says that there should be 2mm clearance...??? that would mean some slop in there...and...
Hey,
Jack stands ok but even better are the little drive-up ramps (whatever they are called) Just be very careful.
Power-washing to cleanup and see what you are doing. I am not familiar with Eastwood products, a lot of guys spend a very dirty afternoon with a wire wheel, I am a big fan of...
got it from SOR, so don't have the Toyota #. Shift lever does not have any kind of bend to it and I can tell you that the top of the shift tower is not "level" or centered in the hole in the body. As I got all my stuff from SOR, I think there were no mix ups...I hope
Thanks for all the input here....I got the tranny and shift lever from Spector Off Road. The general consensus here, when I was first trying to deal with this was change the bell housing OR change the cross-member and mount (but not both)....which I did. I am going to also contact SOR to see...
Here is a pic as centered as I can get it, the shifter is exactly in neutral, motor is sitting correctly on mounts. My frame is an '82, I was told that the two issues for the '86 was the steering box bolt holes and the transmission mount difference.
this is something I will look at again when it is not 10 degrees out, for some reason, although the conditions you state are all there....it still is not right, shift tower over too far to right and lever tilting over to right too far....
Hey Zach, I did change the cross-member and used the different mount (removed the whole bolt-on set up and welded on the inside and outside brackets and used my '86 cross-member). I had some discussion here on Mud a while back about the whole issue, the changes made in those years with the...
Hey Beno,
A couple of neighbors and guys I play Ice Hockey with (Go Rangers!)
